Speed way
It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to run.
The Warriors did it the speed way this morning at Ching Athletic Complex, running a variety of sprints at different distances and forms.
Here’s a sample:
Oh, and of course, there was some explosion-drill training:

Re: Safety at Aloha Stadium.
Not a problem. Everybody is raving about the quick-step skills of Trayvon Henderson, Daniel Lewis and Jay Dominique. There are a lot of options there and … oh, wait, are we talking about safety as in the position or don’t-run-with-scissors advice?
Proof of the pudding with be the first game v. UMass. Last game, UMass QB Ford torched UH secondary 24/38 passing, 342 yds, 3 TDs.
Great Afternoon All!
Sunny morning in Manoa.
Keep on keeping on.
Das it.
Oh, try wait.
Happy Birfday, DPK!
K….
Happy Birthday, Kid!
Da Punchbowl Kid first posted around 2 weeks after the blog began. We referred to him as the “Kid” until the “DPK” stuck years later. While he only posted his blog name as “The Punchbowl Kid” (after the first month of blogging) he referred to himself by several other names/personae/things. I can only remember only 3 others…
Do you remember what he referred to himself as in his writer’s mode? 🙂
#2, key losses for UMass will be Bernard Davis and Jalen Williams at WR, and 3 from OL: 3 year starter Fabian Hoeller (Center last year), 3 year starter at RT Elijah Wilkinson (i.e., on lefty QB Andrew Ford’s blind side) and 2 1/2 year starter OG Michael Boland. The first game of the season may be the best time to catch the new OL before they really gel as a unit – when we can run some funky stuff to put Ford on his back from where his efficiency will be adversely affected.
we look solid at linebackers for years.
Long hot summer coming up.
Speed kills. Hopefully not here in Hawaii
on the practice field. Chill out. Turn up the
heat in August…
GOOD MORNING, HAWAII!
RE: #5 HAPPY BIRTHDAY DPK!
Wasn’t it “Tree Hugger” or something like that?
