Hoping for more good news on DL & OL recruits; & our new DC!
Have a nice Xmas everyone!
Merry Christmas everybody!!! Remember the reason for the season.
merry christmas
I guess the Kapolei OL is heading to the SEC
That SEC team is not going to win a lot of games. Just being honest. Good school though. Tough conference. I guess to be the best you gotta play the best. Good luck if choose Vandy.
Good choice. Vandy is a top-notch university ranked in the top 50 worldwide.
Good luck young man… be safe while you’re there… make good choices… most of all have fun!! Just gonna miss out on seeing you pancake Warrior Foes on Saturdays. To the other young men considering Hawaii… Long time season ticket holder. Let’s go!! Defend Pride Rock!!
Congrats to the MBB on their win over Auburn. Great tournament even with all the hoopla going on.
Merry Christmas to all! Great time of year.
To all our Tsaiko friends, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
May 2016 add good health and happiness to your lives!!!!!!!!!!
I do not know how good the other Big West men’s BB teams are, but UH will be a force to reckon with in 2015-16!
UH was picked #3, but hope the great preseason accomplishments carry over to conference play especially with wins over Auburn and Northern Arizona who beat 2 top 5 teams.
I hope that A Valdez recovers from his scoring slump and the others keep going for a successful 2015-16 season!!!!!!!!
? at our house is how many local football players leaving for the mainland in 2016 will “bounce-back” within 2 years?
hope more players will decide to stay home from the start giving them a great start to their college careers.
com’on coaches – sell your product!
Is how they will be playing on the road, that will count.
If they a poor shooting team on the road, they will remain a 3rd place team.
Wow…the blog is open on Christmas day. First time since 2010. Gotta get my post in… 🙂
Merry Christmas to ST, Tsai-kos and lurkers!
and Happy Birthday to chawan_cut!
aloha and merry chrismas everyone !! enjoy your day and the good food !! and if we are drinking !! be safe and pass on the keys or just stay home or there and enjoy !!
I looked through the HSA’s all state selections and did not see UH DL recruit Netane Muti anywhere – not even honorable mention – unless I missed something. Why? He looked better than some of the selections to me.
Ah, Netane Muti was listed as 2nd team utility player, ostensibly for playing both ways.
Timoteo 1st team and Milton 2nd team.
Congratulations to all of the honorees.
Not good hearing Jankovic saying “they keep telling me go inside, go inside but thats not my game”. It will be a tough season if they dont get enough inside play in conference. Especially if they cant shoot freethrows.
Can’t help if they want to go away to play!
247 Sports showing Sean Auwae has committed to Louisville.
18.
Is that what Jankovic said on “Fan Phones”?
I could see him talking to Gary Dickman courtside during the Harvard/Oklahoma game.
That’s very disappointing to hear, because I think he’s making great strides as a true post player.
What is he complaining about? He’s currently tied with Aaron Valdez as Hawaii’s scoring leader.
On tonight’s Sportscenter, Mike Thomas made the top ten twice(and that doesn’t even include his missed dunk). The first highlight was Thomas’ successful dunk. The second highlight showed him being blocked on his one-handed alley oop gone awry. The anchor quipped: “That’s the first time I’ve seen the same player do something good and bad during the same top ten.”
He is our Javale McGee.
Hawaii’s next opponent, of course, is Mississippi Valley State.
As a member of Seattle U., ex-Bow Manroop Clair put up 24 points against MVSU. Like Rodrick Bobbitt, he’s really finding himself as an offensive force. Clair has raised his season average to 9.4 points a game after a very, very slow start. It took awhile, but it looks as if Gib Arnold didn’t waste a scholarship on him after all.
After the Oklahoma loss, Hawaii’s RPI inexplicably dropped twenty points from #43 to #63. My best guess: tomorrow it will rise to #56.
I like the hijinks on Hawaii’s bench after successful plays. They’re taking a page out of the Monmouth handbook. Hawaii should crack the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll on Tuesday. Hopefully a lone sportswriter or coach will find a spot in the AP and Coaches’ poll respectively.
Standing ovation to Rodrick Bobbitt. He played like a champion. He’s a senior, so it’s not as if he’s auditioning for other teams. Respect Bobbitt.
It is my hope that Hawaii makes the NCAAs this season by which the pride that goes along with making the field of 68 would inspire the incoming seniors from transferring, although I wouldn’t hold it against them.
Eran Ganot, you’re doing one helluva job.
That game against Oklahoma was more entertaining than Cleveland/Golden State.
What’s a follow back?

#20, thanks for the info. Some bloggers were saying that it was Vanderbilt which was understandable because of their academic stature but Louisville??
Not sure why my posts were awaiting moderation then disappear. Nothing inflammatory or critical at all.
Looking for some good news as far as recruits. Gotta stay positive thruout. Right now as far as I can tell the new staff has secured just one if you discount the priors and FUP. Hope good things are on the horizon-
