Henderson, Hittner will be missed
The Warriors yesterday announced what had been known for a week: Strong safety Trayvon Henderson (torn ACL) and long-snapper Brian Hittner (spinal bruise) will miss the rest of the season because of injuries. Both were hurt against Ohio State.
And while the Warriors had found capable replacements — Daniel Lewis and Noah Borden, respectively — these are significant losses.
Henderson was a playmaker on a defense that has produced only one interception this season. Henderson has five career interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Henderson, like free safety Marrell Jackson, was helpful as an on-field director. Because he has not played in more than three games, he can count this as a redshirt season.
Hittner was a speciality specialist — a snapper used only on punts. Last year, he helped block during Scott Harding’s rollout punts. With the Warriors using a shield protection this year, Hittner was an attacker on punts. It was his touchdown-saving tackle that resulted in his injury. Hittner is a senior who is set to earn a degree in May. For HR purposes, he is medically retiring, which will allow him to remain on scholarship through the 2016 spring semester.
Foist ! Go Warriors, beat those Badgers.

Is there a difference in the type of “redshirt” year? Is it possible to get more than one “redshirt” year if it’s for medical or personal reasons?
Anyhoo, IMUA WARRIORS!
Is Trifonovitch still in competition at punting?
Heal up.
Wait a minute, is camera film still sold in stores? I haven’t noticed since the digital camera revolution.

I suppose Wisconsin would be one of the more likely places to find somewhere to “develop” film.
Sorry to hear about the injuries. Good luck in your recovery guys.

Wisconsin – 16
QB1 for Hawaii has led his team to the same record as QB1 at his former skoo

ST, and anyone attending the game this weekend… Can you take video of the “Jump around” in the 3rd Quarter…
Would be fun to see the Blog host and Tsaiko’s participating… 🙂

Mr. & Mrs. A House,
Have a wonderful time in Wisconsin. Sounds like you will see Mad Dog 50? Anyway enjoy yourselves and safe journey home, with sweet memories of a Warrior win.
Having grown up in WI and having attended Badger High before I moved, I find it amusingthat the Rainbow Warriors will be playing there, yah.
Anything can happen this year., dontcha know!

My God that Derek from Kapolei is long winded. Dude just blabber on and on. He does the same on the local sports talk too. Guy need to learn to ask question then be quiet and let the coach answer.

Badgers 24, norms team 3
UH – 31, Wisconsin – 27
Wisconsin Athletic Budget = $100 million
UH Athletic Budget – $30 million
BTW, Wisconsin Athletics received some $38 million in donations and undertook 4 multi-million dollar construction projects for its teams.
Things to consider before local fans start complaining that UH can’t beat teams like Wisconsin. Weren’t UH student athletes forced to live off of power bars and sleep in the locker room, not too long ago when their scholarship checks weren’t distributed in a timely manner? The reality of college athletics.
The Badgers will try to pound UH with the running game right up the middle. Maybe try some wildcat. Then they’ll blitz on D to create turnovers. But enough about the obvious.
ST,
Q:
What are Mr. Henderson’s and Mr. Hittner’s favorite UH fb playing moments?

The good guys…
A-House that is a cool area. Been to that Casino a few times due to the insistence of my wife! That Rosemont area has tons of restaurants a few brew houses and theme bars. Have fun! I was golfing yesterday and was a little off compass when I returned to the domicile if you know what I mean. Sitting in section LL Sat. Gonna head up there Saturday morning. Hope to see you! Go Warriors

There’s more to life than just football. Good luck to Henderson and Hittner.
45.
In the south, that is not the case.
I just heard a hysterical phone call on “The Dan LeBatard Show” that he replayed from “The Paul Finebaum Show”.
I like what Bob Ryan once said about finding a balance between loving art and sports.
I’m so psyched about the forthcoming “X-Files” reboot, I’ve been wearing my “I Want to Believe” t-shirt to work.
