Lavaka has the frame to also play on the defensive line.
Wittek looks like he pushing 240.
Good morning everyone!
Nice photos, ST!
Actually, well over 240.
Glad to see Vasquez Haynes out there.
Beau still looks to be on the light side. Glad to see Vasquez back and Ammon looks to like he’s picked up some muscles. Not so skinny. Same with Jarrell.

Don’t show coach the picture of Higgins throwing or he may try to move him to QB….hahaha just playing-Go Bows!.
Yay!! It’s spring practice!!! All teams have hopes!!
Yikes! 7 comments this time of day is the lowest I’ve seen since I came across this blog.
Well many eyes on basketball 2 day…cheese or cream puffs….for the red n white…
Looking big. Beau Reilly to play. Why else would he suit up to practice? For sure. Make him play. It looks ripe.
Scout.com is reporting that we got a JUCO OL commit today. His name is Antonio Flowers: http://hawaii.scout.com/player/8484811n-antonio-flowers
Thanks for the pics, Stephen – looking good Warriors!
Gonna be at practice to watch, soon.
GO WARRIORS!!!
Second try. First try “awaiting moderation”. Scout is reporting that UH got a JUCO OL commit today. His name is Antonio Flowers 6’5″ 32olbs OG from Pierce JC.
#9 agree, not much of a buzz. I think we have all been beaten down. Hard to be excited after years of losing. Then the nasty trolls show up on the blog and spout the same old tired drivel and hate. It makes people leave. And you know we seem to put up with it. I think we should not. But that’s just me. I’ve been a fan for a long time. Have been through the lean times and the great times. We will rise again. Warrior spirit is strong. I don’t know if coach Chow can do it. History says he cannot. I hope he can, it would make for a good story. But if he can’t then I think (even at UH) this will be his last year and we will move on. I look forward to the tailgates, the smell of bbq and the percussion section doing their thing in the parking lot before the games. We are lucky to have this. And indeed, it would be a relief to have an interesting team and a winning season.
BTW: 🙂 They have the national NCAA men’s Basketball title game today. Wisconsin vs. Duke. I pick Wisconsin 83-79 finals prediction. 3:00 p.m. HT
Howzit Tsaikos!
Got my MPSF playoff order form in the snail mail box today! $16 per ticket + $4 handling fee per order. Can’t buy more than the number of season tickets I have. Season parking pass not valid ( 🙁 )

First of all thanks for the clarification Steven regarding Lavaka guess I am anxious for big bodies either side. Have to cheer for the Dukies tonight-my nephew is the department chair of the Molecular genetics and Microbiology Dept. A dear friend of mine played college ball with Frank Kaminski’s father. Blood is thicker than…….
Looked it up and Antonio Flowers is indeed a commit, due for a visit in May.
#21 – Could be that space eating NG that Tsai has been trying not to tell us about.
#22 Scout is reporting that Antonio Flowers is a 6’5″ 320lb OG
is the game scripted?…great game!
Laura Beeman finalist for Utah job, if you didn’t hear yet.
UH Basketball – revolving door. I wonder what prompted Laura to try for the Utah job?

Great Afternoon All!
Great game!
Congratulations Duke.
Lotsa pics of Woolsey with multiple colored jerseys in the frame. 🙄
Howzit tsaikos,
Glad football is back in the air. I am liking what I am hearing about our offense. But everything chamges when the pads get put on and the boys start to bang with each other.
Good luck to our Warriors this whole year. I like the way the players look. They are looking more and more athletic. I hope we can make it through without any serious injuries.
Go Warriors!!!

Just checking in to see if any news on norm’s departure from UH.

Maybe the UH AD can sweeten the deal for coach Beeman and staff if she is offered the Utah job. It would be a shame to lose them … and Hawaii is a much nicer place to live.
While always good to build OL depth…….especially since lost 4 experienced OL (Afusia, Shigematsu, Lefotu, Loyd) from the 2014 squad, would still like to see UH add a NG/DT type too.
I think Samson Anguay doesn’t hit.

Re-JUCO commit
6’5”, closer to 330 and he has these kind of numbers:5 sec. -40, 4.6 shuttle,28 inch vertical…that’s pretty good. With only having played 1 year of HS football the recruit/player is still learning the game, raw, so there’s a lot of upside. One thing I can bet on is that he probably can dunk the basketball with the vertical he has- not bad. Those numbers scream out athleticism…maybe untapped talent. Which ever of the coaches that had his eye on this player did a good job imo. Also the fact that the recruit got all his school work done in one year says a lot. He should be enrolled in the summer bridge program(?). The next question at what position would you put this player? The next question which of the coaches was the point recruiter in landing this player? Good catch.
Idk. I rechecked the last link and the dates don’t jive. The name does? The college does? I’m confused. Never mind.
Polly, ask Fei Jai #38; He seems to have all the answers.
Islandman, yup, you’re right, the money. “Anthony Levrets was fired in early March after five seasons at Utah. He went 9-21 in his final season, and 78-87 overall while making $313,183 per season. Beeman, the Big West Coach of the Year, was recently extended by UH through 2017. She was given what was described as a “slight bump” from her annual salary of $130,000.” SA article; POSTED: 09:19 p.m. HST, Apr 06, 2015
Got a reply back from Derek Inouchi Media Relations Director……the roster with current heights and weights will be published by the end of this week. For sure some of these kids got a lot bigger…..based on personal observation Leo Koloamatangi has not weighed 275 in a long time Ia m betting closer to 300+ anyway hope this provides some insight. Go Warriors!!!!
That is a whole lot of coin in Utah……
Missing the NCAAs, I had hoped, would extend Coach Beeman’s tenure here for at least another season.
If Beeman accepts the Utah job(and she should), she leaves the program in better shape than what she had inherited.
The Utes’ higher-ups must have recognized that the Na Wahine basketball was a bit of a reclamation project at the outset of Beeman’s stint here.
13 conference victories right off the bat.
It was my hope that she would leave Hawaii for USC.
I will be watching all of Utah’s game on television and on-line, as if I was rooting for Hawaii, because she is my favorite coach-of-all-time.
$130,000.
$300,000+
No brainer.
Of course, she has to take it.
