  9. Ashley October 28, 2016 5:46 pm

guy calling the game is irritating me. is it just me or does he seem pro riverside?

  10. Warriorfan October 28, 2016 5:48 pm

Marlowe is one of the very best and I doubt he is pro riverside lol he loves UH.

UH can’t afford to lose any sets!!!

  11. Big Island VB Fan October 28, 2016 5:50 pm

Can’t watch ESPNU live. Instead, I watched Cal Poly against UCSB and Cal Poly self-destructed, couldn’t keep a 24-21 lead in the third set after getting aced three times in a row. They lost the third set 26-24. In the first set, they gave up a series of points on passing and hitting errors and fell way behind. UCSB might replace Cal Poly in third place. They just demolished Cal Poly in three straight sets. UH better beware of UCSB on senior night. It even took Long Beach five sets to beat UCSB last week. UCSB is a much better team since that surprise upset by Riverside. No comparison.

  12. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 5:50 pm

    10. listening on radio.
TV was supposed to be Paul Sunderland. Isn’t it?

  13. Big Island VB Fan October 28, 2016 5:51 pm

    10. Is the commentator Chris Marlowe? He used to commentate on beach volleyball.

  14. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 5:53 pm

    Uh wins 25-18.

  15. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 5:54 pm

    13. that’s my question. It was supposed to be Paul Sunderland but since I’m not watching TV, don’t know.

  20. jmy October 28, 2016 6:14 pm

UCI leading Beach 6-3 in the 5th…

  21. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 6:15 pm

UCI up 8-3 over Long Beach in Set 5

  22. Warriorfan October 28, 2016 6:19 pm

Wahine a little sloppy this set still waiting for this team to just click hoping it happens in the tourney though.

  23. Maverick October 28, 2016 6:27 pm

UCI beats LBSU. Huge for UH.

  24. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 6:27 pm

    beach loses
    UC Irvine def. Long Beach State, 19-25, 27-29, 25-20, 25-17, 15-11

  25. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 6:30 pm

    UH wins 25-22

  26. Warriorfan October 28, 2016 6:32 pm

Solid win by the wahine kinda sloppy but who cares at this point just get out with a win is all that matters.

Irvine at irvine might be tougher than Long beach at home IMO.

Watching Adora Anae kill apart USC ugh still jealous she went to Utah, UH would be so much better with her.

Hope UH can keep Ogilvie home , next great local outside hitter since kanani IMO.

  27. warriorwahine October 28, 2016 6:39 pm

    26. oh hell yes if uh can get ogilvie

btw whatever happened to clare? tv commented she was left behind as though injured??

so nikki was injured by green/white scrimmage eh? shoji needs to keep watch on that sort of thing for his players in the future.

  28. jmy October 28, 2016 6:41 pm

Interesting scenario…Now even more important for UH to run the table, though I agree with Warriorfan: UCI will be tough to beat…Hope UH can pick up those dinks this time around…

  29. Brandon October 28, 2016 6:44 pm

Apparently LBSU lost cause bg argued and got a delay of game red card on 14-11, thus giving Irvine the match

  30. z October 28, 2016 6:45 pm

Weird match. Dave brought in Casey in third set. Emma struggled some with her passing. Baby G did a real nice job. UH ended up with Kendra on the left, Casey in the middle and Granato on the right in the front row. Don’t think that I have seen that before.

They started off strong then went into a funk making a lot of unforced errors. Like always when they needed a point they went to Nikki. They can’t play like this against Long Beach.

  31. jmy October 28, 2016 6:48 pm

    29. Will this match have to be replayed?

  32. Warriorfan October 28, 2016 6:48 pm

Thanks for the updates on the warrior exhibition Cindy. Looks like no live stats for this match.

  33. Warriorfan October 28, 2016 6:49 pm

31.I dont think red cards are reviewable lol

  34. jmy October 28, 2016 6:49 pm

Looking at the stats for Utah-USC…SC not playing well at all, and looks like Utah has a very well-balanced attack…

  35. z October 28, 2016 6:50 pm

Dave tried Kalei in the front row but I don’t think she is ready yet. Annie looked good early on. Sibs did not make the trip.

  36. blunite October 28, 2016 6:52 pm

Like Hawaii, LBSU feeling the effects of the injury bug. Barring: further injuries, academic suspensions, or improper conduct, Hawaii should win out and be awarded the automatic conference entry into the NCAA Tourney.

  37. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 6:54 pm

Gimmillaro given a red to end the match according to twitter.
Anderson not injured. Shoji rotates the DSs and took Guinasso and Ross. Smith went because Sibley sprained ankle.
YES, the Sept. match between UCI and Long Beach State will be replayed.

  38. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 6:59 pm

    36. where do you get the suspensions or conduct? such a strange comment.

  39. Cindy Luis October 28, 2016 7:06 pm
