It’s odd that whomever wrote the article seems to be under the impression that UC San Diego is remaining in the MPSF and isn’t splitting off with the Big West Teams.

Looks like Grand Canyon will also be joining the MPSF:

Hmm…I wonder why the need to expand so much? The MSPF already have enough to make an “official” conference with 6 members. Why water down the conference with lower level teams?

    3. Grand Canyon had been in the MIVA and had wanted to stay more West. Good move for them.
Concordia gives the MPSF an even number, easier for scheduling
All the about “growing the game.’

The hope is that the Big West will expand as well. The only members who don’t sponsor it are Cal Poly, CSU Fullerton and UC Davis. Sac State and Bakersfield are affiliates in some sports.

UC Riverside also doesn’t sponsor men’s volleyball.

Cindy, any word on whether Larry Tuileta has plans to join the men’s volleyball team? I know there was talk about him playing football at UH after leaving USC, but it doesn’t look like he’s part of any serious discussion about playing QB in the future for the Warriors. So maybe he’ll play OH instead? Mahalo.

Congrats to Nikki (8 points) and Coach Fisher on Team USA’s first win today over Peru at the Pan Am cup.

Not that I’ve heard of. His absence at FB speaks volumes. He had a lot of work to do to show academic progress. Believe he’s still at KCC.
