    I hope Nikki improves with each match. 4 K, 4 E, 18 TA, .000.

Nothing to do with this article but much to do with Na Wahine. How is Greeley’s rehab going? Thanks.

Nikki might want to employ wrist leverage on her serves. (1 ace pales in comparison to Micha Hancock’s 8 aces in 14 attempts .) Furthermore, 4/4/18 is mediocre considering she had more sets than anyone else; the other opposite– Alex Holston– was 2/1/7. (Team USA probably does not employ the “D” set very often.) Note: she cannot rely on international refs to get touch calls against the block.

Incidentally, now we know why the loss of Micha Hancock meant all the difference to Penn State. Her aces do not include the number of “free” balls they got. Likewise, when UH loses the serves of Tayler Higgins & Nikki Taylor the difference will be significant.

#1 Hot: they all had some travel travails to overcome:
    http://www.uwbadgers.com/news/2016/7/2/volleyball-travel-day-carlini-writes-about-us-trip-to-dominican-republic.aspx

A story told on Sheffield’s periscope commentary yesterday: N.T. lent L.C. a spare pair of shoes to get through the match. Team luggage hadn’t all arrived yet.

    Only her first match.

Speaking of Carlini, Shoji should take note; Koelsche is almost as tall (and a better blocker).

Nikki had four errors against Peru but she did not play bad , she started off slow as she sometimes does but two of those errors barely missed and she had a lot of quality hard swings that got Peru out of system and gave the US freeballs that got easy kills for Alhassan, plus Nikki’s block was solid as always.

    2. the few times I’ve seen Greeley she said she was doing fine.

Definitely a tough crowd here. takes a while to adjust to a new setter.

    6. yes, Koelsch has height but her location is not as good as Higgins, something the coaching staff continues to have her work on.
