Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on these young men. Get a ring for their finger and sandals for tteir feet.And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast. So Let’s get this party started. We need to celebrate this happy day.

Congrats to all the student-athlete graduates; a diploma is worth more than any trophy or ring attained on the playing field. Props to Stephen for once again chronicling this special day, although this one surely was more meaningful (congrats to Devon). You know, you’ve probably has been to more UH graduations than any single person … dating back to before this blog!
That pig on Zeke’s back, in that photo the other day, might be for this very occasion.

Rights: we all have them, and we all love to claim them. Teenagers who are well past the hatching stage but not quite ready to leave the nest especially love to claim their rights. And when the rights of teens clash with the rights of parents, the nest invariably becomes messy.
