Boyan out for beach season after fall; update on Taylor

UH will release a statement later today … waiting on HIPAA or HERPA stuff .. but Heather Boyan is out for this beach season after falling about 50 feet during a hike Saturday on the Ka’au Crater trail.
She is at Queen’s in stable condition with multiple injuries. Didn’t get all the details but some say she is lucky to be alive after slipping over an edge and landing in shallow water.
She was with a group of friends, some from church, some former UH athletes. There will be a GoFundMe.com page set up in the next few days.
Sounds like she’ll be in the hospital for a few more days.

Spoke with Nikki Taylor. She said she had a great time at the open tryouts, thought she did well. Will find out at the end of March if she’s invited for any of the teams.

Talked to Shoji today as well. they begin spring training on March 14.

Ok, this might be an old question already answered, but where is Luke Owens this year? Is he redshirting?
