No TV for Hope matches, on-court session with UH Saturday

There is radio sort of. Friday on 1420-AM espn1420am.com.
Depends on what happens with basketball Saturday. Think the plan is to ‘join in progress’ on either 1420 or 1500.

Here’s the game tracker link
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=74750

After Saturday’s match UH will do a meet-and-greet on the court with players available for autographs, photos, etc.
Friday they’ll do an autograph sessions on the concourse at Gate B.

A match Saturday with implications for Hawaii: UC Irvine at Pepperdine.

According to North Texas’ website, they will be flying to Hawaii for the upcoming week for spring matches.

    http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/031315aab.html

Lists Chaminade and HPU for March 15 and UH for March 17.

interesting. They aren’t on the UH schedule posted. The SandBows already pretty busy next week against USC on the 18th, Queen of the Beach 20-21, Nebraska and Cal on the 22nd

UHAD is always behind the times….example in football… a coach that has been gone for a month or more is still listed as coach…

guess they to busy to update…or to lazy…me thinks it is the later….
maybe on computer playiNg games… since BJ HAS NO CONCERN FOR HIS EX DEPT NE MORE…

Too bad they just can’t turn on the cam they use for womens basketball games. I know it’s a requirement from the big west for them to provide livestreams to all sporting evens, and I guess it’s not for the MPSF, and why UH figures it doesn’t have to provide one for fans not able to atttend.

OHIO STATE upset Lewis in 5. Wonder who the #1 team will be on Monday?!

  6. warriorfan March 13, 2015 5:06 pm

Probably Irvine if they can beat Pepperdine at Pepperdine. Hope Pepp beats them though, so UH can be number 1 in mpsf standings. If Pepperdine beats Irvine. i see Loyola staying at number one unfortunately.

  7. Cindy Luis March 13, 2015 5:38 pm

    4. it’s not an MPSF game tonight. and it’s not as simple as turning on a camera. Although it shouldn’t be that hard to link the scouting camera with a radio feed.

  8. Cindy Luis March 13, 2015 5:42 pm

    3. my point is that they’re already pretty busy bigger matches next week, playing Wed., Fri, Sat, Sun. and the North Texas release says TBA. who knows if it is happening.

  9. warriorfan March 13, 2015 5:57 pm

I think every other mpsf school provides live streams though some are more advanced than others, I think BYU has the best by far. Wish UH did as well since OCsports seems to be bent on showing just one match a series and against the big name teams only

Correction: Pepperdine will host Irvine on Saturday, March 14th, not Friday the 13th. We need Pepperdine to beat Irvine and it will be streamed live at 4 PM Hawaii time from the Pepperdine volleyball website.

Lots of things to watch tomorrow. Irvine/Pepp match and Loyola at Ohio State,
both basketball teams in championship games.

Hope it’s a good day for UH tomorrow, UH men volleyball team, potentially could move into first place in MPSF and top 2 in the rankings and both basketball teams in NCAA tournament in same year for first time ever…

  12. Cindy Luis March 13, 2015 6:48 pm

    9. don’t think every MPSF school does.
BYUTV does the Cougars home matches through church/school owned and run entity. It began as a cable station designed to share content with the three BYU campuses.
The difference is OCSports is not part of UH. And their contract is for UH sports, not just UH men’s volleyball. They are doing baseball tonight and not a nonconference match with an NAIA school.

  13. rayson March 13, 2015 9:45 pm

I can understand Oceanic not broadcasting tonight’s or tomorrow’s game in favor of baseball. What I don’t understand is why there’s no video steam for the games they choose not to broadcast. Am I wrong in assuming that since Oceanic has the broadcast rights if they decide not to broadcast a match then no one should be able to see it except those of us who attend the matches? How long is their current contract for?

Both the Big West and the MPSF should require (paid or free) video feeds for all matches.

  14. warriorfan March 13, 2015 11:48 pm

I think the big west does require all major sports events ( including non conference games) to be streamed, I saw a stream for softball the other day at the UH site, they use the livestream website.
