The Youth Impact Program is still seeking applicants for its free camp next month.
The camp is open to boys who will be in sixth, seventh or eighth grade this fall.
The way it works is there will instruction on life skills in the morning, then football-related exercises and competitions in the afternoon. Several community and military leaders will serve as instructors in the morning. UH players will serve as coaches in the afternoon.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided by several popular restaurants.
The camp also will provide apparel.
The camp runs from weekdays from July 3-14.
For info, call the UH football office at (808) 956-6508 or go to youthimpactprogram.org.
