Brown kinda reminds me of Jeff Duva, who QB’d Dick Tomey’s first two seasons here. Duva’s play helped get the attendance bandwagon going during our inaugural years in DI football. Duva was a great leader who gave his team mates a sense that they belonged on the field with anyone. He made everyone around him better just as Brown seems to have raised the play of those around him.

I remember how Jeff Duva used to throw on the run after rolling out to the left and to the right. I paid attention to how he set his feet and threw on balance – and copied his footwork when playing QB in pickup type games and intramurals. LOL!

They also said that what they have left is all they are getting before the game this weekend. I find it odd though that Butigroove is capitalizing on this rather than the H-zone. Shows UH is behind in the area of marketing.

Andrew, at $5.00 per shirt, hard to see Butigroove making any money on this. Maybe UHAD should contract with Butigroove to allow them to run H-Zone for them. Win-Win?
#38 bowwar…. I can’t yet claim 35 years of attendance but I’m not far off. I couldn’t agree more about feeling “saved.” It was a big challenge to find the motivation to renew my seasons tickets this year. I finally managed to do it. And now I find myself anticipating the game on Saturday night in a way that brings back memories of the old days. Memories of times when I expected to see the Warriors come out and play hard and exciting football. It’s been a long time. It feels good. I hope we can keep the momentum going.

Brown has generated a lot of optimism and well it should be. It’s easy to see the team is still a work in progress. The last game the offense put up 34 points but at the same time it left points on the field. 2 of 13 on third downs with many of those stops by way of self inflicted errors – 3 penalties after the down was converted, one drop beyond the sticks, 2 lost fumbles and an errant snap from the five which made it 3rd and goal from the 22.
Thirty four points after all those mistakes makes me wonder how far this team could go if they tighten up on the number of those mistakes. You rarely catch BSU, SDSU and Air Force making the same amount or errors. To really be in the hunt for a bowl game or the league championship game the team has to improve on being as mistake free as possible.

Exciting times, it has gotten quite lonely over the last 4 years where I sit, lost 33 fellow season ticket holders.
UNLV killed us in 2011 when we were heavy favored and seemed to have never recuperated from that lost since.

it took us 3 full days to meet our black cod and halibut quotas – but the black cod were LARGER – biggest was 23 lbs and an 19 # 6 oz.

My hope is Coach R changes his mind on arriving at the stadium. I parked as close as i could to the walkway and let me tell you when the players walked past the fans and family, it hyped everyone up. The yelling and the UH flags flying was awesome and, that was during Chows years. I’m sure a lot of people are disappointed.

Col, going to the north country is always special. Did well on kings, cohos, rock fish, crabs, and Ling cods. Fishing got tough in September, but being up there fishing is always good whether you catch or no catch. We already looking forward to next year.

Just a friendly reminder about the Tsaiko Tailgate on Saturday. The early crew gets there around 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. We usually go until around 4:30 or so before people start heading up to the game.
If you have never been, come on down. Lots of food, family, friends, fun, and football. As always, potluck and BYOB.
Hope for a great crowd this week-me I will sit in the dark again at 11 pm and listen to BC!!! Won’t be an easy game by any means but again improved effort over last few weeks gives a great chance at W number 4 Go Warriors!!!

As far as the warrior walk from the Chow era, I like what Rolo is doing. Any reminder and perception from the Chow era for the student/athletes is negative so the mindset needed to be changed. Go Rainbow Warriors!!
