Turkey Day
In the rain and then in strong winds, the Warriors went through their final full practice of the regular season this morning.
It was a two-hour workout, focusing mostly on special teams and techniques.
The practice concluded with a win-win 2-minute drill. The first-team offense scored on Dru Brown’s 10-yard TD pass. The No. 1 defense responded with a three-and-out stand on the ensuing series.
The defense also unveiled its sideline dance to mixed reviews — the offense had a collective meh; everyone else loved it.
Head coach Nick Rolovich gave his blessing to this week’s practices. The Warriors then met for a Thanksgiving meal.
Meanwhile, UMass was scheduled to tour Pearl Harbor today. The Minutemen, who are on a 10-day road trip that started in Provo, were not scheduled to practice today.

Been wanting to see you all during this season, but just unable to for all of the usual reasons.
However, the planets and stars are aligning themselves to finally allow such a meeting for this final regular season game. To top it all off, I am able to bring the majority of my ‘ohana as well. Can’t wait to see you all again!

it is a joy to watch Memphis play Houston who is stacking the “box” and Memphis is running outside and throwing passes to the edges with great success
al-san: I understand “stacking the box” to prevent running plays between tackles, but why keep doing it when you are having very little or no success especially when the OL does not control the LOS? — Chow told me it’s to keep the defense “honest”

Because the defense has to keep stacking the box to stop the run. The way you make them keep stacking the box is by running up the middle even if it doesn’t always work. That’s what Chow meant by keeping the defense honest.
