    Anyone need tickets to the game in Tucson, AZ on Sept. 17; I just bought a block of 35 seats at the 50 yd line behind our UH team bench @$48 each.

    Or tickets to the game at San Jose St. on Oct 8; I got priority seating right behind our UH team bench at the 50 yd line ($30 each).

    And to the game in Michigan Sept. 3?

    seems Vacations Hawaii LV group numbers are way down with all the TV commercials and now they are entering into football tours – 2 Titans games

    with the Hawaii “old folks” passing on, the “newbies” are not so much interested in downtown as they are with the “Strip” casinos – yes, Boyd gaming still get their share, but it must be much lower than 20 years ago

    several years ago, David Led whatever, stopped by to tell us we were sitting and taking up space at a video poker machine fronting the cashiers cage – told him that part of the group had just dropped over $3,000 at the nearest $25 black jack table and no one asked us to move to play the machines

    told him he should spend more time walking around the Cal and Main Street Station casinos to see how his employees were mistreating the “old folks” by attitude and deed

    that his decision to “penny pinch” was very unpopular with the “old folks” such as no “comp” pack of cigarettes to a lady who will drop $40-$60,000 during a 5 day trip – heck, I would need 12 years to spend $60,000; or a free drink to some who may drop $4-6,000 in 5 days.

    younger Hawaii visitors are trending to the Strip or Orleans or the Station casinos

    be sad to see Boyd’s downtown without the Hawaii “old folks”

    In addition to UCSB, Arizona Wildcat baseball also going to the college World Series. Trepasso said this was the best team that the baseball Bows played this season.

    I love the “old timers”. Got to say I like their values a lot. Speaking of Vegas, I’m guilty though of liking the Strip, with the only times I go downtown is to eat oxtail soup at Main Street. I’d go to the club and around 5am take a $25 taxi ride to downtown for my ox soup and Mac salad. Then $25 taxi ride back to the Strip for some sleep. I love seeing the old timer and hawaii folk in the casino and restaurant. Reflections from an ex kamaaina and sort of youngish person in early 30’s years old.
