Spring practice No. 8
Another spring practice, another appearance by a former Warrior great. This time it was “Mighty Mouse”— Chad Owens — who gave the post-practice pep talk.
The quarterbacks had a throwing contest in which they aimed for the trash bin. Nick Rolovich gave it a shot.
At the end of practice, there was the gauntlet drill used at combines. A player runs the width of the field while catching passes from each side. The running backs won, thanks to Genta Ito.
The Warriors introduced some of their sub-packages on defense. Zach Wilson played well at nickel corner and Manu Hudson-Rasmussen made some plays as the weak-side dimeback.

Numba 2. Not me, Mighty Mouse!
bringing this over from the previous blog.
Kahuku freshman quarterback Sol-Jay Maiava tweeted Wednesday night that he has received a scholarship offer from Hawaii.
Rolo planning ahead …
recruiting is an tough process
selecting players to “watch” — follow their progress — make an offer which may or may not be accepted — watch other “dogs” enter the fray — keep up the interests of local fans — consider family interests ( plus or minus if parents only see the mainland ) — high school coaches “leanings” — friends opinion
when an offer is made, to whom and when, may certainly interrest the fan base, but all that counts is who accepted/signs on NOLI day – especially the later is all that counts
UH offered the Koelher kid as a freshman St Louis – btw, where did he go?

Any news on Tago?
Chad Owens owned the Big Ten.
Free Craig Murray & Morris Kleine-Brockhoff.
Bad free.
Remember how upset some people were when Coach Wallace cut these two Arnold recruits after his inaugural season?
As long as they’re good citizens, I want everybody to come back, but there are some first-year players who I wish were junior college guys.
Craig Murray was undone by a really high-turnover game against Kentucky.
Yep, that was back in the day when UH played Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Illinois …
