Circle these days on the 2016 calendar: Tuesday, March 29 and Saturday, April 30.

Coach Nick Rolovich confirmed the Warriors’ first of 15 spring practices will be on March 29.

With the NCAA’s 34-day window for spring training, the Warriors will end workouts on April 30. Rolovich said he expects a spring game (based on available players) or, at least, a spring fling for the final practice.

Rolovich also said spring practices will be open to the public.

  4. Old School Dave December 20, 2015 9:03 am

Thanks for the info, Stephen. Hope your recovery is going well.

With finances being what they are at UH, is it a good guess that Coach Suiaunoa will be handling the S & C program, since he had similar responsibilities at Montana?

  5. oneseason December 20, 2015 9:15 am

Well, in your job that may be impossible.

Although (treats) coaching news are usually used as a reward for us fans, a small (treat) doze of inside scoops before Monday morning would be an effective tool in gaining your reader’s cooperation.

    SALVATION IS FOR EVERYONE
For Moses writes that the law’s way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands.*But faith’s way of getting right with God says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to heaven?’ (to bring Christ down to earth). And don’t say, ‘Who will go down to the place of the dead?’ (to bring Christ back to life again).”In fact, it says,
    “The message is very close at hand;
it is on your lips and in your heart.”*
And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”*Jew and Gentile* are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”*
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”*
But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, “LORD, who has believed our message?”*So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. But I ask, have the people of Israel actually heard the message? Yes, they have:
“The message has gone throughout the earth,
and the words to all the world.”*
But I ask, did the people of Israel really understand? Yes, they did, for even in the time of Moses, God said,
“I will rouse your jealousy through people who are not even a nation.
I will provoke your anger through the foolish Gentiles.”*
And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying,
“I was found by people who were not looking for me.
I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.”*
    But regarding Israel, God said,
“All day long I opened my arms to them,
but they were disobedient and rebellious.”
WELCOME BACK COACH TSAI..Now on to more coaching news..teachers of this game we love.

  26. Legistlature December 20, 2015 5:41 pm

    The people will declare,
“The LORD is the source of all my righteousness and strength.”
And all who were angry with him
will come to him and be ashamed.

  32. cappie the dog December 20, 2015 6:32 pm

    I can’t believe it.

As usual, at work, I heard the score of the game I recorded.

    I erased it.

Nobody told me Joey Iosefa played.

I would have kept this game forever.

    Working around gamblers is irritating.

  33. cappie the dog December 20, 2015 6:37 pm

    34 is the magic number.

    A window.

And also the amount of times the women’s basketball team turned the ball over…and WON.

That must be some kind of record.

  34. Legistlature December 20, 2015 6:59 pm

  36. Dano December 20, 2015 7:50 pm

that last drive as time ran out, iosefa wanted to score so badly and almost did. as dan fouts mentioned, its chemistry that joey brings to the team right now.

  41. H-Man December 21, 2015 7:23 am

Watched Leahy and Leahy yesterday. Dave Shoji was guest. He was able to tour Texas A&M’s athletic facilities after their match. Said the difference in facilities between a mid-major and a Power5 school was incredible. As an example, he said they have TVs installed above the urinals in the lockers. And TVs at the wash basins. Each sport has their own workout facility. They don’t share gyms. Just a couple things he mentioned. So how do you recruit against Power5 schools? Dave said he has to look for players beyond the Fab50. Good players maybe, but not on the radar. Then train/teach/coach them to raise their game.

  42. kev-1 December 21, 2015 7:38 am

Because everyone needs a TV above their urinal. Ridiculous.

  43. papayalips December 21, 2015 7:42 am

Guess all the losing turned this into a holy roller blog.

  44. jackleg preacher December 21, 2015 7:44 am

speaking of texas A adn M, they have two qbs available. so if a program doesn’t have facilities like the major programs, do you even try to recruit these kids? Call to say you would love them to come visit? or not even try? it’s a difficult situation…

  45. NorthShoreFan December 21, 2015 8:22 am

    Guud Morning Tsaikos…bootiful day.

Having to recruit and compete for talent to restock the Wahine Volleyball team, Coach Shoji has done a fantastic job. Competing against power 5 schools and all the resources they offer will always be a huge undertaking. We get the kids who are willing to work hard and improve. This kind of reminds me of how lucky we are to have Coach Shoji.

  46. NorthShoreFan December 21, 2015 8:24 am
