Offseason is on
There is the Gregorian calendar, of course, and the Chinese calendar. But we all know the most important is the football calendar.
Tomorrow is the first day of the football year. That’s when the offseason conditioning program officially begins for the Rainbow Warriors under the direction of strength/conditioning coach Gary Beemer.
There are sessions available at 6;30 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Session assignments are usually based on class schedule. (All but two UH scholarship players are enrolled in one of ย the three summer-school sessions.)
In the afternoon, the players are free to conduct their own unsupervised workouts.

Hope the quarterbacks and receivers are out there during the unsupervised workouts to build some chemistry.
P.S. 2
Happy New Year!
Former four-star Oregon quarterback Jake Rodrigues will reportedly transfer to San Diego State. Was he one of Chow’s mystery quarterbacks?

Work hard Warriors – this is the time when championships are won – in the weight room and on the field.
I am soo excited to see what Coach Beemer’s program will produce this summer.
GO WARRIORS!!!
Mornin’ KK. We fine, how youuuuu?
Mahalo to all active military and vets everywhere.
I surely hope the players weren’t waiting for the “official off-season” to start in order to stay in condition. Boys should’ve been hitting the weights after the football season ended.
GOOD MORNING HAWAII!
And thank you for our military and veterans – and all those that have served our country, lest we forget.
Word on the street is quarterback Eric Prater has been lighting it up in unofficial/unsupervised workouts.
ST: Somebody will need to light things up at QB or it will Bea awfully long FB Season! Happy Memorial Day Tsaikos!
Best wishes to the rainbow warriors. Work hard.
All vets deserve our thanks and unending support. Fix the damn VA!
Guud Morning Tsaikos…bootiful day.

IMUA WARRIORS!…success starts today!
I watched Eric Prater’s highlight video a few days ago again. Can’t wait to see the guy throw the ball around.
Good morning everyone!
Happy (football) New Year!
I know American New Year and Chinese New Year, but football “new year” – me no sabe!
like the military, training should never stops – there may be “lulls”, but never stop — classroom or field training or exercises or mental preparation or whatevers.
memory, memory on the wall why is Prater on the ball?
let’s see – the walk-on QB who was in the military and designated 2014 “scout team QB”?
will he be like a “driving range golfer”? fantastic drives until he/she goes on the golf course or will he be al’s “holy grail”?
al, have you ever defined/described/set criteria what your “holy grail” is?
like Coach Chow — he kept mentioning the “it factor”, but I must have missed is definition of “it” {pun}
B”It”…….maybe Bill Clinton can define….with help from congress…”It depends on what the meaning of the words ‘is’ is.”
sa trojan, did you mean B”it”e?? or Bl–“It”
Am I the only one giddy about free parking today?
ST: You when Porget the tide calendar.

Just left Veterans Cemetary in Kaneohe to visit Dad. Flags flying and grave sites honored with flowers……beautiful.
……oh, and Surf and Turf at Dean’s waz winnah as always.
sa trojan, i understand that they are going to do major repair work at the veterans cemetary in makawao. long overdue.
3 prong, just got a text from my classmate that they evacuated their home on Funny River road, but was able to get back today. fire is still not under controlled, but so far it looks like no loss of property or lives.
Prater seems to be a stay in the pocket type of quarterback. Might be in the mix in fall.
me have a brother up there whitey WW II glad to hear that..
sa trojan, i still remember as a very small kid, my dad took me to wells and high street intersection (old court house in wailuku) to watch a military parade. the only thing this parade had no band, but trucks carrying coffins draped with the american flag. i still can picture this as i don’t know how man trucks passed, but it was a long procession. to all those who was buried that day, i am truly sorry for not understanding what it was about, but it is something i always think of on this special day for our fallen heroes.
back to gardening.
whitey: Google Mapped Funny River Road and its only 5 miles upstream from the lodge we fish.
3 prong, have your friends check out Peninsula Clarion which is the newspaper for the Kenai area. They have the latest updates of fire direction and evacuation routes. Hope nothing happens to your lodge or anybody/property in that area.
3 prong, the only markers i have read about is marker 103-109 on Sterling hwy is open. I have no idea where that is. Last update I saw was dated 12:55 pm, today.
20…i am not helping you on this one.
prater just got here, so, no way he was on the scout team. i’ll let you figure thus out on your own.
it will be good exercise for the cranial matter.
holy grail…you will know when the next one comes along.
we had one 7-8 years ago. unfortunately he fell off his horse,.

Whoever is our starting QB this year will have to earn it. Chow cant afford to just hand the job away this year or we’re in real trouble.
and if i hurry, i going be in the top 50
sa trojan, wea u????
ok, going in stealth mode and sneak in at 50
hawaii 5-0

I watched Eric Prater’s videos. He is mature, tough and has a quick release and appears to be very accurate. This walkon may surprise everyone and looks to be a sleeper. His arm strength is impressive and can fling that pigskin. I guess we will know more when fall camp rolls around.
sa, flowers
awww ok…protea ? …you kula huh…
kennth kong class mate
OT 808…while just being in a branch of military service is a plus 4 manhood n leadership skills…surely having training in us army special forces…has to be a major plus factor in
his pursuit of football….how that would manifest into his endeavor to play qb…will be
“very interesting”… wish him well..
Tsai-Ko,
Based on your experience and your observation, how are our QBs this year vs last year so far? Last year, everybody was banking on Graham, with Schroeder as backup. This year, all we heard was Higgins and Woolsey are in competition with Graham recovering. Even though we have bigger receivers, more experienced tight-ends, improve offensive line, we still need a QB who is accurate but not holding on to the ball too long. Are these QBs there yet?

Great Morning All!
According to my calendar, no hanahana today! ๐

Guud Morning Tsaikos….bootiful day.
