Flash mob
Head coach Nick Rolovich has this message:
“I got an e-mail. This is what I want to happen. It’s not a question. It’s a demand. There’s the cell/flashlight thing that somebody started and the wave that has transcended generations. I want them combined — flashlight wave. That was not my idea. Somebody e-mailed me that idea. It’s a a great idea.”
Rolovich also poses a somewhat serious question: “What Halloween costume should I wear on the sideline?”
And maybe a not-so-serious offer: “If anybody would like to rent out a University of Hawaii football player for Halloween to help escort your kids around the neighborhood, let me know.”

UH successfully won a request to award middle linebacker Jahlani Tavai a sack in Saturday’s game against Air Force.
You should wear your old jersey and helmet. During warm ups have the receivers line up at the fifty and you should try to hit them around the goal line. You still got the best arm on the team right?

whomever sent the “demand” to Coach is a genius!!!!!!!
now, to get game announcer to start the movement – winning or losing, it will be a sight to behold!!
Hawaii will be the 1st in the nation to do this — hope its shown on mainland TV and face book around the world!!!
eat your heart out all the day-time games!
Darth Vader
Yes, that’s a great idea. Where your old black Hawaii football uniform with your pads on. You dont have to wear your helmet.
Let the student body initiate the flash-wave.
left a message for Scott Chan at Aloha Stadium for the public address announcer, at the end of the 3rd quarter, to announce the start of the cell phone wave light starting from the UH Student section.
pack the knife again, we gotta go hunting for Lobos!
Suggested this a few years ago and maybe it can be added to the flashlight wave. Start the flashwave. Start another when the first is one third of the way down. Start another when the first is two thirds of the way down. Three wave set!
The Warrior Wave is born!
Go Warriors!
This week’s game at Air Force was extra sweet for us Road Warriors who typically have to get on the plane a little disappointed. How sweet it was to be celebrating at another team’s stadium! Especially a team nearly 17-point favorites.

Go Bows!
The Na Koa lunch report has been posted.

Ahhh. Spontaneously initiated would be more fun. Besides the Aloha Stadium PA system is so crappy one can barely make out the garbled gibberish as it is.
‘It would be cool to flash the cell phone lights whenever we need a big play.
Due to being Salute to Military Night/I think a military theme should be observed…..just a thought
Meaning if you are really going to wear something-How bout Sgt Rock!!!!
Missed opportunities…
Military Appreciation Day
Create and sell green camouflage Hawaii Warriors tshirts.
The momentum in the football program has shifted. Amazing work!
1. Flashlight-wave … sounds good!
2. I also like the idea of Coach wearing his old black uniform. My husband and son actually miss that one. Although, as a family connected with the 100th btn, maybe add a US flag or something to it?
3. And, if Coach Rolo is for real about the “rent-a-player”, we’d be interested. Sunshine?
Coach Rolo how about you dress up as our former mascot “Vili the warrior”?
Since its Military appreciation game, a good Rolo costume
would be for him to be in camouflage like those guys in
basic training who pop out of the tall grass looking like
a wild bush—you know with raffia grass hanging all over…
For a no hassle costume,
just paint one of your
fingers gold…
Or coach could wear a black suit, white
shirt, black tie, and black sun glasses.
And all his coaches.
“Men in Black”…
And of course, the entire team in black.
And the fans.
Oh heck, it’s Halloween.
Like a cheese head, wear a Rolo hat…
and maybe get an endorsement from the
company for doing it, like a million dollars,
or tootsie rolls.
🙂
Don’t forget, it is trick or treat.
So trick out New Mexico forcing them to fumble
and close down the run.
As for a treat, win, baby, just win.
Dress up as Vili the Warrior.
Hope the flashlight wave works out.
Best of luck to our beloved Warriors.
rolo, dru brown’s mom probably listens to a radio stream of her sons games.thats not right.

Guud Evening Tsaikos…Bootiful Evening!
Yes, Yes, Yes…Coach Rolo!..don your old uni and walk out to mid field with your game captains for the coin toss!

IMUA WARRIORS!
This week’s T-shirt: Aloha Stadium — Land of the free, home of the Warriors
Is this for real, is the T-Shirt gonna be another Hi Life/Butigroove product? Where can the fans away form home get one?
Stats indicate that Santiago did play.
32. Saw Santiago play. Don’t recall seeing Timoteo.
Just read this in the UH “H-Mail” sent to our email regarding Saturday’s game…
“In honor of the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Rainbow Warriors (4-4, 3-1 MW) will honor the military with special recognitions throughout the game. The family of the late U.S. Representative Mark Takai will serve as the game’s honorary captains. Throughout the season, the team has worn decals with the initials “KMT” on the back of their helmets in honor of Takai, a former Rainbow Warrior swimmer and supporter of UH Athletics.”
I did not know or notice this…reading it brought a tear to my eye. Tsai-kos know what Mark Takai meant to UH athletics and football in particular. I would wear a t-shirt with “KMT” on it to honor him.

Stephen I am humbled to be mentioned in today’s article. Coach Rolovich sent me a “thank you” note for my ongoing support of Na Koa and my short emotional talk with the team actually before the Michigan game. Coachs son included a touching note that was included in same. I was compelled to respond and show the young man thanks-I sent a Cubs shirt not even thinking they were Giants fans. The package arrived at the office in the afternoon-the Giants were eliminated by the Cubs that day! Coachs son was in the office after school-I saw Coach Rolovich in Colorado Springs this weekend, he told me it was “Classic”. Go Warriors!!!!!
When in doubt, always go as Princess Hanalei!!

Takai Ohana, we salute you.
