‘Bows open season … Warriors hit the beach
The baseball ‘Bows open the season against nationally ranked North Carolina State tonight.
First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. at Murakami Stadium.
It’s quite a bargain — most inexpensive regular ticket is $10 — and you get to see A-Rod’s nephew, plus a couple future major leaguers.
We’ve got previews galore in this morning’s Star-Advertiser.

The Warriors, meanwhile, concluded offseason training with a beach day. They ran, then had competitions in four-corner, one-handed tag; knee-tag; and off-handed catch.

Great way to start the day!
ST, any update on the coaching hire? Do they have someone or will they wait till after spring ball?
Love those Warrior workouts!
Only in Hawaii brah…only in Hawaii.
Go Warriors!
and
Let’s Go Bows!
Bite da Wolfpack!
Yup…Only in Hawaii…Will be interesting to see where Pagano and Vili’s kid end up finishing their Senior years…Will also be interesting to see who appears for the kicking tryouts.
Again great pics. These Warriors look to be in shape and ready to begin spring practice. Main thing the team is good to go on Aug 26. and ready to play 4 quarters.
we are blessed with daily updates from ST on the status of the football team
must wonder how hard other teams are practicing in their “off-season” training getting ready for “spring” practice — as hard as the Warrior or harder?
for sure, not season has gone by where the Bows may be less prepared than opponents – UMass game will be a “tattle tailer”
I wonder where ST is going to camp out as he enters beat writer two-a-days with the football and baseball teams… 😕
Pagano leaving Clemson to be closer to home . . .
Hope he’s considering UH ’cause you can’t get any closer to home than just joining the Warriors.
Season tickets and parking for Rolo’s 2nd season….Check! Deposit in for UMass trip…Check!
While we wait…our company will be again feeding the BaseBows after tomorrow nights game. Tri-tip and tempura, hope they like it. Grilling action behind the box seats!
LET’S GO BOWS!

Any news on Scott Pagano? Has he reached out to UH or is he just looking to transfer to a West Coast team?
Hawaii Beach Boys…
Save those pics to show future mainland recruits…
Send them during winter months 🙂
As for baseball, ru saying the Bows will lose to NC?
( A-Rod’s nephew, plus a couple future major leaguers… )
btw, UH never really had a “Big Daddy” type slugger.
Wonder if the Samoan Sumo types could homer for UH?
🙂
Animals just announced a huge volleyball thingy
this weekend at of all places, The Convention Center.
Pagano coming home
Hope Scott Pagano choose Hawaii. Getting Scott to transfer to UH would be great. Besides being a player who has played at the highest collegiate level, he can help mentor the younger DTs
justin, u shua u shua?
I say if USC offers, he would probably go there as it would offer him best chance to possibly get another national championship.
Don’t get your hopes up sounds like Pagano going to a PAC 12 team
Would have been nice though
Why would Pagano risk his potential draft status by playing for Hawaii? Guarantee he’s looking for a Pac12 team that he can start for. He was a back up/ rotational player at Clemson.
If your good, the NFL will find you. Its when your average, thats where the big schools can help.
Maybe Pagano should go where he wants to go and not where other people want him to go. It’s his life.
UH should load the schedule with big time programs. It helps the budget, gives the program exposure, gives the players exposure (good recruiting point), helps tourism, puts Hawaii football on the map (better than those directional schools that start with NSEW).
Little Leahy–how can you not mention Robin Ah Mow for your list of potential jerseys to retire? How can you ignore the most successful sport in all of UH’s history? The only sport to win (multiple) national championships! No respect.
There is logic for Pagano to come home. Being the big fish in a small pond beats being a small fish in a big pond. Look at Noah Allen as an example. Not to mention playing in front of family and friends.
looks like Yoro standing next to coach Legi
Mr. Pagano, just listen to Brother Iz:
“Somewhere Over The Rainbow”
“It’s A Wonderful World”
🙂
