Letuli to sign with Cowboys
Former Warrior lineman Laupepa Letuli is expected to sign with the Dallas Cowboys tomorrow, according to his agent, Leo Goeas.

John Veneri has been offered the job of color analyst for ESPN 1420’s broadcasts of Warrior football games.
The deal is “pending agreement” of terms.
Veneri, who has served as sideline reporter during Warrior football broadcasts, would succeed Robert Kekaula, who has been named play-by-play announcer for Oceanic’s football telecasts.

Leo Goeas said the agents are in a conference call to discuss the free-agent rules. This also should be good news for undrafted Warriors such as Rodney Bradley, Mana Silva and Laupepa Letuli, among others.

Brashton Satele is ready for football.
“I’m excited to get out there again,” Satele said. “I’m in a great shape. And my hair is long again.”
Satele was known for his long hair during most of his UH career. But in April 2010, he cut it short “for my grandpa.” At that time, Tiaseu Satele was undergoing treatment for cancer.
His grandfather’s health has improved, and Satele’s football future also is promising. Satele was signed to the New York Jets’ practice squad in December, then re-signed after the Jets were eliminated in the AFC Championship game.
The lockout did not diminish his enthusiasm.
“I never stopped working out,” said Satele, who has been staying in Los Angeles waiting for notification of when to report to the Jets’ training facility in New Jersey.
Satele said the Jets’ player rep, offensive guard Brandon Moore, has provided detailed updates.
Quarterback Mark Sanchez also has orchestrated a phone tree, although there was some initial confusion when he texted Satele.
“Which Hawaii guy is this?” Sanchez texted.
Offensive lineman Wayne Hunter, an alumnus of Radford High and UH, also has an 808 cell number.

It’s football media week across the country. The WAC’s media preview is Thursday.
Easy prediction: Bryant Moniz will be picked as preseason offensive player of the week.
Corey Paredes should be the top defensive player, but I think the honor will go to the LaTech defensive lineman.
And while I think UH should be No. 1, because of Moniz and a pretty good defense, I think the voters will choose Nevada (four of seven WAC games are at home, including two in chilly November) or Fresno State.

Last training camp, Satele gets a high-ankle sprain early. Because he’s a rookie, he rushed back, then played in a game when he wasn’t healthy. So he got cut.
If he can remain healthy, he should be a contributor on special teams this year.
If the B12 w/ Texas stays put and decides to salvage the B12 and scoop MWC , BYU, CUSA schools it’s going to be another struggle for the MWC. Probably say bye bye to AQ hopes too.
Kinda hope the B12 rumors aren’t true…too much conference realignment already.

What would suck the most is if those B12 schools leave, and the remaining schools poach MWC/CUSA schools to fill the void.
They are going to still want and need to hang on to BCS status and will grab the closest most successful FB programs out there. BYU/BSU are probably givens. Maybe Tulsa/Houston/UCF? I dunno.
Or Texas and leftovers might want in with a new PAC16 super conference. I doubt PAC12 would be interested in TTech or Baylor but they might be interested in what KU/KState brings in terms of basketball.

If Nevada is voted number one in the WAC I would be very disappointed. Reason being they lost way to much people. They lost their Major weapons. Nevada built their offense around Kaepernick in my opinion. The only thing that they have going for them is their schedule at home.
To me I could see Fresno being voted number one because of their defense. But Hawaii has more going for them than any other team in this conference. A returning veteran QB, a Powerful front 7 on defense. Hawaii or Fresno should be voted number one to me.

If the Big 12 loses those 4 schools, they will take BYU plus who they want from the MWC and C-USA. The Big 12 has the 2nd most NCAA basketball credits, which game them $18.9 mil in 2011. The MWC was at 8th most, at $5 mil.
The Big 12 has much bigger payout bowl game ties, will keep a far bigger TV contract (since the MWC will be underpaid until their current contract runs out), etc. The MWC has great teams, but small TV markets and much less NCAA tournament credits.
I doubt that Texas would go indy because they have all they want with the Big 12. With Texas there, the national TV money will be more than 10x what the MWC gets.

Old news but I’ve been on vaca. While I thought Forcier had a lot to offer, I support the decision if he can’t transfer in time to be ready for next year. I don’t know anything about his academic record so I’ll just comply with the spirit of FERPA and just wish the kid the best.
In other words, if the Big 12 gets raided by the SEC, that will kill the MWC’s AQ chances because they would lose some teams. That would be bad for UH, so I hope that it does not happen. I’m just looking at this from a UH-centric position…others like Louisville, BYU, etc. might be cheering for it to happen.

I am hoping Corey Paredes is not picked as WAC season defense player of the year, because the train that hits you the hardest is the one you don’t see.
In 2016, the Big 12 should have $30 mil in TV money for every school, far more than the Big 10 and SEC. That doesn’t even count how every school gets to sell their TV rights to all games not picked for national TV…which are the games being shown on the ESPN Longhorn channel.
If the SEC wants to act, they have to act *now* because once the Big 12 is getting $30 mil per school while the SEC gets $17 mil per school it will be hard to get teams to switch.

You are focused on Texas going indy, but where do their park their non-football teams? Why should they go anywhere when they will make more money and be able to keep rivals in their conference? Why should they leave behind a nationally ranked men’s basketball team and a top-tier baseball program (both make money) to go to a lower level conference for their Olympic sports?
Texas will soon be getting $30 mil from the Big 12’s national TV deal plus $15 mil from their ESPN channel. They cannot beat that anywhere. They have such low recruiting expenses, far lower than almost any AQ school and lower than some non-AQ schools.
There is no economic reason for Texas to go Indy.
There is no competitive reason for Texas to go Indy.
The non-football teams would not have a place to play that is comparable.
Their athletes travel less and miss less class time than almost any other athletes in D-IA.
So, Texas will stay put which means that the Big 12 will keep their TV deals…which means that the Big 12 will get to pick who they want to join from the non-AQ or Big East (and maybe ACC) schools.
The biggest school to benefit from Texas A&M leaving would be BYU…they would bring another market and have been talking with the Big 12 for years. Who advised Texas in setting up their TV network? BYU. What school did all the Texas decision makers visit to discuss TV issues? BYU.

I heard Bobby Curran interviewing a football writer from Nevada sometime last week.
The points that stood out IIRC are these:
Nevada hasn’t lost a WAC game at home in the last two years (someone double check).
The backup quarterback to CK has looked good in practices and has a very strong arm.
This year’s defense is touted as being Nevada’s best defense in decades.

With the Longhorn Network they are de facto independents with a scheduling alliance with the B12.

My question:
At the same token regarding the players receiving feedback (and striving to get better) would sports columnists, sports writers, sports editors or newly announced play-by-play football announcers perform better on hearing feedback, criticisms and critiques. Does it light their fire (passion), too, in hearing the good, the bad, and the ugly?
We’ll see how good Nevada is. Their first 4 games. At Oregon, at San Jose State, at Texas Tech, at Boise State. They will not beat Oregon who should be in the top 10. They will not beat at Boise State because it is also a revenge game after last year’s loss to them. They will probably be underdogs at Texas Tech. So, the Wolfpack will be lucky to be 2-2 after 4 games and more likely 1-3. Lose to @ San Jose St. and they are looking at 0-4.
Don’t discount the fact that Nevada lost Kaepernick, Taua, and Dontay Moch. That are very huge losses and the top 3 players on the team and All WAC performers. Personally, I think Nevada will be lucky to finish the season with a winning record. And, you can never know what happens if the injury bug hits a team hard. You just never know.

No, the Big 12 wouldn’t let Texas leave all their non-football teams in the conference. If the 4 rumored schools left and Texas left, the other school would bail and there would be no home for their non-football teams. The ACC cannot add a non-football school either without getting imbalanced.
Notre Dame has the BIG EAST for its non-football teams. That is the #1 conference for NCAA basketball money and is the only conference where they might make more from basketball than football. There is no Big East non-football option for Texas…and the Big East is starting to tell Notre Dame publicly that they need to join for football or they may be kicked out. But that threat has no power because the Big 10 would take Notre Dame in a second and the Big 12 would take Notre Dame and let them have their own TV network (like Texas has, like Oklahoma is working on, etc.).
Texas has no good option for its other teams if they went indy for football. That means that they won’t go indy because they actually support their baseball, softball, women’s basketball, swimming, soccer, and other nonrevenue sports.

The point was that before the advent of the social-media outlets, players had to assume they had followers year round. But they really couldn’t be sure. Now players know, because they not only can see the responses daily but they also can interact with fans through Twitter, Facebook, etc.
With reporters who also use social media, they now can get quicker feedback. In the past, if a reader wanted to make a point about a story, the reporter wouldn’t know for a couple of days (while awaiting the arrival of snail mail). Now it’s much easier. If there’s a mistake in a story, a reader can point it out, and it can be changed quickly online.
Of course, there are some reporters who don’t use social media.
I think that Nevada will be 1-3 to start the season. New QB and a brutal road schedule will do that. However, their new players will be experienced by the time their conference schedule gets going and they could win the WAC. The big game is UH in Reno…and I saw over and over (in person many times) in past years how it was hard for UH to win there.
If the UH-Nevada game was in Hawaii, I think all the “experts” would be picking UH to win the WAC. I hope that UH wins the WAC and think that UH has a better chance than Nevada or Fresno, but the game in Reno will be tough as always.
Nevada has not lost a WAC game in Reno since November 22, 2008. They lost that game 41-34 against Boise State. They won all their WAC home games in 2009 and 2010.
Fresno wins some big nonconference games and then drops several WAC games that they should have won.
Nevada seems to lose nonconference games early in the season and then do well in the WAC, kind of the opposite over the past few years than Fresno.
By the way, critiques soon will be relative to cost.

This new screwing by the SA means that the work of many reporters will never be read again by hundreds of thousands.In some cases that is good but some of the writers at the Star are good and I for one will miss reading their articles online because I along with many many more will never ever pay to read the SA online.
I agree with Garret and ST that if the Big 12 loses four schools to the SEC, Texas won’t go independent but rather will stay with the conference and rebuild it. I see BYU, TCU and Houston being added, bringing membership to nine which would allow for a balanced home-and-away football schedule and locking down the Big 12’s hold on the DFW and Houston markets.
I don’t see any MWC school adding enough value to warrant an invitation. Boise State is too far out of the Big 12 footprint, doesn’t fit academically, and is still perceived by the BCS AQ gang as a flash in the pan (i.e. a school that will no longer be a football power once the current coaching staff moves along). Air Force will never be a power in basketball and the service academies in general aren’t economically or competitively driven to play in AQ conferences, as evidenced by Army and Navy passing on the Big East. Colorado State, Wyoming and New Mexico are too weak in football.
So, Garrett/ST……the complaint from other big12 schools with Texas/ESPN (24×7) pkg. deal would give TEXAS a huge advantage, all the way around,(money$$$/recruiting), etc. All of these advantages over the rest of members in the big12, are things that the rest of the conference will just need to swallow…and let Texas have their way… while they eat humble pie???

I agree with you except that the Big 12 might get more TV money if they get back into the state of Colorado. That could be good for Colorado State or Air Force. It isn’t like Colorado was a huge power in the Big 12–Colorado State could satisfy that role. The Big 12 might have better options than them, though.
Navy and Army passed on the Big East because they were invited for football only. If they were invited for all sports, I believe that their answer would have been different.
TCU could replace Texas A&M without any drop in BCS points and TV power.
From what I heard from Austin, there were some phone calls between Big 12 schools and 2 MWC schools when things were going crazy last year…New Mexico and Colorado State. Both have markets that the Big 12 doesn’t have now.

The biggest complaint was that the ESPN/Texas channel was going to show high school football games of recruits committed to Texas, which would be a huge competitive advantage for Texas. They are *right* about that and I think that ESPN/Texas were wrong to try to get high school games on their channel.
If you noticed, ESPN and Texas have already backed down and agreed to show *no* high school games until the rest of the Big 12 schools agree. So, Oklahoma and Texas A&M won that battle and I think they were right to complain about that.

The *#^$ really hit the fan when ESPN announced recently that they were going to show high school games of Texas commits on the ESPN/Texas channel. I was shocked that they would do that and even if it is not an NCAA violation (I think that is a fine line they are walking) it had to have set off alarms everywhere else.
While I empathize about the financial hardships the pay wall might cause, just to be clear, since I am and still will be providing a free service here, I hope this doesn’t become the complaint office come Aug. 3.
By the way, Oklahoma has been working for over a year on their own TV network, with their AD saying that they could get close to what Texas is getting from ESPN. Remember, Texas Athletics only gets $5 mil per year from the ESPN deal–their upper campus and the management company gets the rest. Oklahoma gets close to $5 mil already from their local TV rights and they are looking to get a network distributed around the region.
Nebraska announced plans to get a TV network just like the Texas/ESPN network going…way back in 2008. They didn’t have the TV power to get anyone interested–if they did, they probably would still be in the Big 12.

Newspapers around the country are having to turn to pay walls to try to break even. To me it would be 1000x worse if the Star-Advertiser went out of business by trying to stick with their current free model.

Garret, the one distinction is that when New Mexico and Colorado State were previously approached, it was by the Big 12 remnants that would have been left behind by the creation of the PAC-16 — a group that didn’t include Texas or Texas Tech. I just can’t see a Big 12 with Texas still “in charge” settling for either of those schools. Air Force could possibly be brought in to keep a Colorado foothold and serve as a BYU travel partner, if the Cadets could be talked into joining what would be (for them) a murderer’s row for all sports.
Student-athletes will listen to their coaches FIRST and anything after is a distant second.
These people are still young adults and kids and the first instinct to hear criticism on ANY level and in ANY manner is a defiant “screw you”, well mostly because most people’s criticisms border on personal attacks, so what else are they supposed to believe.
So with that being said, the coaches will and SHOULD rely on their own judgment and if the need be reach out to others in their profession. We know Coach Mack reads this blog and so does his assistants I guess and other UH coaches read this blog too, not a lot, but some of them, but the day they start “heeding” advice Xs and Os or taking cues on motivational speaking directly from us (including myself) is the day I will truly worry.
If ANY UH head coach looks too deeply into what is said ANONYMOUSLY on a blog, ANY blog, and doesn’t use his or her own judgment (WHICH IS WHAT THEY ARE BEING PAID FOR), then voila, that coach needs to look for another job.
I mean, how many times have we all said “I hope I am wrong” when commentating on something?
Besides, if it wasn’t for hindsight, the desktop Monday morning college football/sports expert wouldn’t exist.

BYU would need a travel partner and the states of New Mexico and Colorado fit nicely into the Big 12 North footprint. The Big 12 cannot get paid for their championship game until 2016, so they have no ready to go to 12 schools until then, but the Big 12 North will need some school to go with BYU and pretty much all of those options would come from the MWC.

Some of the more successful companies thrive off of conditioning their customers to pay for everything, every service. From a few cents to hundreds or thousands of dollars, the more and more customers of a certain company or product expect to pay for something, the better off the business is in maintaining their finances to ensure that their goods and services are still in tact. NOTHING in life is free, unless you down some shrooms and live on gumdrop lane at the top of lolipop hill.
Hard to adjust to the cost of business when the advent of the internet gave the masses a sense of entitlement.
Newspapers SOLD papers for decades, then online came along and voila… freebies.
Whether Hawaii was a two or three newspaper town, the writing on the wall wasn’t going to change.
ST, what I would like to know is why the SA charges different people different rates.
SA stated that the regular annual rate for the printed newspaper was $180.
They charged us $151.
They charged my friend in Pearl City $130.
They charge ST $108 or thereabouts?

Re-Dance studio
For years, now, the Warriors are housed at the dance studio during training camp.
Are the conditions at the dance studio adequate, average, deplorable, sufficient or could it be better?
The reason I ask is that in all other areas of Warrior football there seems to be upgrades-football field, locker rooms, coaches offices, player lounging area, player study area, charters flights, training table, bridge program etc., and I was wondering if the dance studio or the location of the housing the players stay at during training camp is keeping up pace with the other upgrades?

When the pay wall was first mentioned, I was like, “nah.” Sure, there are plenty free ways to get the news on line. But then I was like, “I won’t get my WArrior football news!!” Sure, I’ll have access to the blog, but for years, I have been a warrior football news junkie. I just had to have the Wed-sunday editions of the Advertiser for all the football news. I can’t stop that just yet. Just found out it will be $25 per year for me to get all digital format. I think that’s a fair price. SA you got me! Consider me a subscriber!

well, I went to the SA website to confirm subscription, but could not continue past the log in code they gave me. The site got stuck.

Late last fall, we (re)started a subscription to a (real) paper because I got fed up with flashing ads, pop-ups, and slow-w-w-w-w-w downloads on my ancient Dell desktop – now starting its 9th year in my home office.
What used to take up to three hours a day to read just that one publication now takes about 40 minutes at the dining room table or in “the facility” or on the bus.
Furthermore, we re-use the plastic sacks used to protect the papers from Windward rain to scoop-de-poop or place coffee grounds & other food waste instead of paper towels.
As for the other on-line papers, I just don’t have the time to spend nor usual access to a computer during normal working hours except on Mondays unless I zip into a library or drop by the Public Access Room at the Capitol.
That’s why many of my colleagues who do have on-line subscriptions to other publications make sure that I get an electronic copies of articles on issues in which I’m interested/involved so that I can keep up with what’s going on.
Over the past decade, what I found particularly offensive about the on-line editions of the Star-Advertiser and its two predecessors are the people who hang out in the Comment Sections. Unlike blog regulars, people who comment lack major basic written communications skills. That’s why I rarely read the Comments anymore – maybe once a month.
I’m not talking about disagreeing with their positions but their failure to spell correctly, to know the difference between its/it’s, to/too/two & their/they’re/there, to practice basic editing for things such as subject-verb agreement plus their dependence upon arcane abbreviations for phrases such as LOL and initial substitutiions for people’s names.
NOTE: I didn’t know until perhaps three years ago that LOL meant “Laughing Out Loud” and not “Little Old Ladies.” I remember asking another poster on a different blog who used the term LOL as to which “Little Old Ladies” was he referring. It took weeks for that issue to die down.

Signing the Players allows us to set up True Personal Relationships versus a Recruiting Relationship: we can call and talk to them every day, stop in and visit with their families; as a Team, Coaching Staff and Family we can make decisions, set-up Prep Schools, JCs; if a player doesn’t qualify right now, it’s NOT over; he can join us after a semester, a year of prep school or two years in JC;
1) We knew DeShawn Mitchell was a Long-Shot, he had a LOAD of Work to do to get eligible; he said all the right things, he worked hard but didn’t make it;
2) Hauns Brereton and Shaquille Stokes are Good Students, so they qualified immediately RE: SAT scores and grades (sliding scale for NCAA D-1 Qualification);
3) our three California recruits were all close, but not yet qualified; we’re talking 10 to 20 points on SAT exam scores (or earning high enough passing grades (GPA) on additional classes); even if ALL Three don’t make it right now it’s NOT over — Ronnie (Stevens) is already placed in a JC playing for my cousin (in Iowa @ Indian Hills CC) and maybe the others (If they don’t qualify) would spend a year in prep school (like Julian Sensley did) join a semester later or may want to join us later;
4) we can use or save those scholarships: at this time last year we placed eight players in JC and three had phenomenal freshman seasons; if all the recruits (this year) had made it we would only be able to bring in one, (SR. Zane’s scholarship) instead of two or all three of those players;
5) we have one or two other kids coming in that no one knows about; one is a foreign player; foreign players don’t need NLOIs (and signing them early sometimes just alerts some of the other big schools who try to jump on them); this is a lot like Nikola Vucevic who was drafted in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers.
6) One player who’s already here is Brandon Jawato, 6-4, who we recruited All Year; and we were always number one on his list; he was league MVP, All-City, All -CIF, he’ll be a real good player for us, backing up Zane this year;
7) Bobby: Tell us what’s happening with Vander Joaquim: Vander is playing with the Angolan National Team — that is a great thing playing for your National Team — I wouldn’t want to take that away from any one. They need to qualify for the Olympics by winning the Africa Cup — Angola is one of the best African teams, won the Cup maybe ten years straight. If they do, Vander will be representing University of Hawai’i in the Olympics But as soon as that’s over (or IF he doesn’t have to stay and practice All Year with the Angola Team), Vander is excited and says he’ll be on the next plane back to Hawai’i . Of course the down side is he won’t be practicing and traveling with us to China.

nevada is always tough to beat at home. hawaii did it in 2007 in dramatic fashion on a last possession FG. yep, it will be a cold night, esp in mackay stadium where the wind blows through the bleachers unencumbered from the high sierras. not to mention altitude woes.
the wolfpack lost their two hall-of-fame players on offense and some talent at DE, but they have thoroughbreds in the stable on both sides. three are mentioned for post season acclaim. not, enuff, imo, to make this trip, “mission improbable”.
although hawaii will be assembling a whose-who lineup on offense, the warriors will have played nine-games before the treck to reno. in the rns, time on the job usually equates to bigger numbers. especially with a new, but talented skilled-player crew.
our D should be up for the challenge. barring injuries, our frontline trench, middle and perimeter speed is suited to handle chris ault’s pistol attack. our warriors will have registered 5-road games too, prior to this contest, so traveling and its adversities should be on the short-side of the learning curve and marginalized by nov 12th.
hawaii plays better as the underdawg. give the wolfpack the number #1 polling position….i believe the media and coaches will oblige.

The last time I was in Georgia around this time it was in the triple digits. The thing I remembered the most was the humidity. The wind came from inland and was hot as hell. I really missed the trades back then.

I often used to wonder why did Newspapers charge .25c for a paper? Is that how they make their revenue? Seems a bit small for all that content.
Then I found out papers make their money through ads placed.
Then I thought if that’s the case, why charge a fee? Kinda petty.
But perhaps psychologically, something free might not have much of a value to attain everyday.

So, I gotta ask the question- is SA going out of business if their content remains free online? I doubt it. If that’s the case, the blame falls squarely on poor management.
This whole fee charge serves no purpose but to squeeze out more revenue. Worked with regular print. Why not e-content, right?
Sometimes old ways of revenue extraction doesn’t work with modern times.
Readers already search by content. Not by news source. If I’m a company wanting to advertise, why would I want to advertise with SA when they’ve limited their target audience that will read their content and possibly see my ad? I’d be better off advertising with Google who can place me in far more reaching markets that produce free content.
Enough companies think like this and SA’s revenue becomes stagnant and drops. All it takes is another local online news source (Hawaii Star, Hawaii Reporter, Hawaii 24/7…) to step up their game and the 700 pound SA Gorilla will start to starve.
SA- You’re the ONLY big fish in this pond. Careful what and how you consume. The pond might dry up on you one day.

Gib is putting the best possible spin on it that he can, but IMHO having four of six signed recruits fail to qualify academically isn’t getting the job done. Hopefully Biggs and/or Blakes will make it to Manoa this fall, but if neither shows up then I want to hear what the coach is going to do differently next time to prevent a similar situation from occurring, not reassurances and rationalizations.

We’ve seen Coach Mack deal with academic casualties after signing day and he gets REAMED hard on message boards. But, for the salesman, NADA, a few people here and there questioning what is right in front of them.
Sure the targets on Coach Mack have gotten smaller, but they were there. So far, public opinion seems to still be in the favor of Gib, even if 4/6 do not show up and dare I say, Gib still has the keys to Manoa in the minds of many if he falls 6/6.

you know what caught me as a hmmmm? for this offseason for the nfl players who couldn’t train or work out with their team while the lockout was in effect?
how many UH players spent their FREE time at cooke/ching field practicing for FREE with their teammates and friends. No coaches. No field staff. No trainers.
how hard did these nfl players make an attempt to go and work out together? they have the $$$, yet all we’ll hear is about how they didn’t have the time to prepare for the season. the teams with new coaches and new schemes have an excuse, but for all the others that make the big bucks, you could sacrifice a few to organize something amongst yourselves. everyone has a cell phone, twitter, facebook.
i have heard a few teams that have had the right leadership and players that did sacrifice to put the team first, and i believe they’ll be the ones playing in the offseason this year.
so kudos to you, all of our Warriors out there on the field this summer. we appreciate all that you do to win for your team and your fans.

there are so many of them opening all over the place as they keep up with a like number of those closing down.
one of my favs used to be zack’s in market city. it lasted for awhile and then it went poof. i think that the assortment of flavors is the bane of all yogurt places. the product can’t keep for too long and if not sold…out it goes down the drain along with any would be profits.
they should instead serve a basic yogurt and then blend in the flavors of choice to order. want to start a franchise somebody????

I have a hard time imagining our former Warriors developing that holier than thou attitude that some of their NFL teammates have.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users.
