Adding up

My colleagues have done the math, and they project 83 teams are eligible or a victory from being eligible for the 80 bowl berths. But because many of the one-away teams are playing each other, there is a strong possibility UH will qualify for one of the 80 spots if it beats UMass this coming Saturday.

In any case, UH fans should wait before making party plans for Christmas Eve.

Hoping for the best. Finish strong Warriors!

  2. 808 November 20, 2016 7:00 am

This team has hope. That is something the team and fans have not felt in years. Rolo has given this team hope.

Finish the year strong with a win. I’ll take a 6-7 record and a 2nd place finish in the west division. If a bowl game is offered after the game, great! If not, look to next season.

This year was a successful year because the team learned how to win on the road and in conference play. I think this is a nice start to the Rolo era. Better things are ahead for this program.

  3. Maddog50 November 20, 2016 7:49 am

Here’s to breathing fresh air into the struggling offense. This should be a huge sigh of relief after so many gut wrenching losses in the last 4plus years. UMass is not to be taken lightly, they throw, the ball all over the place and has a huge O Line. It’s gonna take a real good effort and I sure hope some of the roster has served their time and ready to get their heads right and get back in the game! GoWarriors!!!!!

  4. Arcumfortis November 20, 2016 7:52 am

It does feel like better days are ahead for UH football.

UMass is not a strong team. If we can’t beat them on our home turf then it is fitting that the season ends. A month ago I would have been very confident we would win this game. Now not so sure. But I am hopeful and interested. If we win and go the Hawaii Bowl it amplifies the success of the season and hopefully underscores the direction of the program (especially for those recruits watching and deciding whether UH is the place they want to be for the next 4 or 5 years). So in my mind it is a big game.

Rolo is pretty quiet about recruiting. It will be very interesting to see what develops in recruiting over the next few months. The next game can be very helpful in this regard. I hope we show up and play well. If we make the The Hawaii Bowl it is of course a chance to be showcased nationally. It gives us great exposure if we can play well and avoid those unpleasant beat downs we seem to have when on national TV.

  5. H-Man November 20, 2016 8:03 am

It’s been such an up and down season. A good showing against UMass may get them in. If they do, I’ll go to the game.

A lot of big men on UMass Roster.
Most are over 6 foot. Gonna be hard
to dodge their defense and slow down
    their offense…

I think 2010. We beat army, new mexico, fresno, utah state all on the road

2011 we beat idaho, la tech

  9. Markazulu November 20, 2016 8:28 am

I watched umass play south carolina. I liked their running back marquis young i believe his name was. Played pretty well.

  10. Maddog50 November 20, 2016 8:28 am

One of the biggest obstacles this week will be having healthy bodies. UMass will probably resemble a much better UT Martin by comparison. They have talent and have hung with a lot of good teams. The question will be do we have enough healthy bodies and minds to recommit. If you are a veteran player and have been with the team the last few years what better way to wash away some of the experiences you had. No going thru the motions no complacency nothing left behind-you win and you get some time off and maybe a chance to play just one more time in that uniform. GoWarriors!!!!!

  11. J-Dog November 20, 2016 8:38 am

Well, aside from the mathematics, UH actually needs to WIN the game against UMass.

  12. paa November 20, 2016 9:03 am

Everyone should be Happy we won.

  13. Arcumfortis November 20, 2016 9:31 am

UMass has played competitively against some big time eams. They are probably much better than their win/loss suggests. When I consider UH’s performance against the top teams we played as a comparable it does add up that well. Basically UMass hung pretty close with the likes of Florida and S Carolina while we got brutalized by the good teams we played. So it will be an interesting game on Saturday and will not be easy. Given our performance over the past month we will have to rise up and perform much better or we lose. I hope we can do it. If UMass can be successful with straight up running plays from the get-go I don’t like our chances. If we can recover our offensive rhythm and score 30 plus we have a chance. I highly doubt that 14 points is going to win this one. UMass has a much more productive offense than Fresno.

  14. Willie November 20, 2016 9:42 am

Congrats to the team on playing hard and never giving up! The D brought some heat in the 2nd half.

Saw the Kemp pass that was knocked out in the 4th qtr during “money time”. Again, catching the ball with his chest! Come on secure the ball with your hands! Think of the football as that rubicks cube!

  15. Da Punchbowl Kid November 20, 2016 11:01 am

UH reminds me of a young horse, first learning to run. There are starts and stops, some falls, but over time, they will gallop.

But for a couple of games we lost but could have won, we would be looking at very different season. I think the Warriors and coaches should be commended for continuing to fight and grow.

We are definitely better than many thought we would be. We may be even better with a win over UMass. A return to the Aloha Bowl and a win there will be a great way to grade them for the season.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  16. H-Man November 20, 2016 11:29 am

Read Ferd Lewis’ article on Lakalaka where he lauds him for his determination to score the winning touchdown. For sure Steven has been a bright spot in this year’s team. So has the other two running backs, St Juste and Harris, during different times/games this year. I just wonder why the backs have not been consistently effective throughout the season. Maybe ST can shed some insight to what happened.

  17. oneseason November 20, 2016 11:32 am

On the road to conference competitiveness, this year’s travels has had plenty of interesting stops already:
3 road wins this year compared to 1 road win in the previous 4 years.
4 conference wins this year compared to 4 conference wins in the previous 4 years.
5 total wins this year compared to 11 total wins in the previous 4 years.
I am looking forward to the rest of the season and future seasons. I am thankful for the UH players, the coaching staff, and the athletic department staff.

A return to the Aloha Bowl would truly be remarkable.

but das jus a perspective from one akamai okole. 😉

  20. Akamai Okole November 20, 2016 12:03 pm

    Great Saturday watching:

    – #1 son’s former team get its 1st ever playoff win;

    – #2 son’s former team get its 1st playoff win this season;

    – the Warriors pull one outta their collective (insert the second part of my nic);

    – finally getting to see the next beeg ting coming outta (808) to CFB and beyond as he goes out on top at no-Aloha.

  21. Akamai Okole November 20, 2016 12:10 pm

    CFB is very fair.

Your record over a full season normally is a clear indicator of where your team is relative to the rest of the landscape.

Having completed the MWC part of this season, it is fair to say that this team is better than about half of the conference and still needs to work on catching the other half.

  22. Akamai Okole November 20, 2016 12:20 pm

…the nice part is these coaches got the team to this place using the last regime’s team.

That’s why I will renew my season tickets. (OK…I was going do that e-ne-way but still—)

  23. Akamai Okole November 20, 2016 12:29 pm

As far as a bowl for this team…

    EEEEFFF they are so blessed:

    On the plus side:
    – nice payoff to the Seniors for sticking with it;
    – nice payoff to the faithful fans who still show up;
    – nice payoff to the coaching staff for hustling throughout the season in what has been an almost constant “catch-up” mode since coming to the job;
    – the 15 extra practices for the returnees;

    On da oddah side:
    – the opposition will undoubtedly NOT be a barely bowl-eligible team but instead is likely to be a legit “bowl team”;
    – possible being “exposed” on national TV again (of course, a win erases this point);
    – explaining to Mama where and why the family should be on Christmas Eve! 😯

My math says I will be BIS! 😈

Everything hinges on our D Line. If UMass runs like N Mexico, Fresno (ugh), and even LV, not to mention SDST and BST, we going be in deep do do. Especially too if they can rush our man Dru. Lets go Dru think like Drew Breis. Shake, Rattle and Roll!

  26. Sangamon Keith November 20, 2016 2:37 pm

UMass is much better than its record and certainly better than UT-Martin. Given poor performance at Fresno (lots of penalties and weak running game), we better be prepared for a very tough night. Hopefully, we will see some of the offensive spark return to the offense. If it were me, I would work primarily on a R&S offense and run that before trying any running plays. Last drive vs Fresno was from R&S set and was very efficient.

  27. A-House November 20, 2016 2:42 pm

watched the “re-run” this morning and came away a little impressed that UH LBers stayed with their assignments and did some “crushing” of the ball carrier

most impressive was Solomon Matautia – true frosh, but plays like a junior

what will UMass bring, I wonder
what will UH OC/DC do, I wonder

we will be there at Aloha Stadium

  28. Ohana Hawaii November 20, 2016 3:22 pm

Hey! Hawaii’s fans going ahead make your Christmas plans!. Because whatever happen in the UMass game. It won’t help Warriors to a bowl game. Because NCAA they will be looking at the victory that Hawaii did and point. It will be understanding why if UNLV go to a bowl game. If they beat UNR on Saturday by more then three touchdown. It might come down by the score between Boise State and Fresno State? UNLV lost to Boise State by 17 and won Fresno State by 25. By Hawaii lost to Boise State by 36 and won Fresno State by 1. That is really a big different. UNLV have to do is beat UNR by more then 3 or 4 touchdown to take 2nd place in the Mountain West (West division ). Behind San Diego State. But give the University of Hawaii football team and players. Thanks them! For the great season! Remember from the beginning the University of Hawaii football program was pick to finish the season in last place! That means 6 place!. Great and embarrassment season coach Rolovich for your first year!. Rolovich it’s really seriously time to think of changing you’re whole offensive coordinators. Don’t care if their were your teammates during your college career. Remember that it your coaching job. So go out and? Please get a offensive coordinators staffs and some help on defensive side too. Do be like Charlie Strong and lot more Head Coach!

  29. The Flying O November 20, 2016 3:23 pm

UMass is a terrible team. They’re traveling across the country to aloha stadium which makes them even more of an underdog. If UH can’t beat UMass, then they dont’ deserve bowl game consideration.

  30. Ohana Hawaii November 20, 2016 3:35 pm

The University of Hawaii football program. They should really surprise the peoples and fans. That the game is reschedule to be play at the the University of Hawaii complex football field. To show the people and the fans that? Keep on during what you are showing us! This could happen! Our home games will be rescheduled to play here. Not at Aloha Stadium to save money and also traffic, gasoline, air pollution and Electric too. And give more to the people of Hawaii.

  31. Shoichi November 20, 2016 3:44 pm

    @28:

The ranking of schools below .500 in regards to bowl games doesnt work like that.
1.) Any school .500 and above are ‘mostly’ guaranteed a bowl invite.
2.) Anyone that is 6-7 (mostly unique to Hawaii) or loses their CCG going in at 6-6 has priority over any 5-7 school because they still finished with 1 more win which means higher winning %. No matter how lopsided their final game is.

This all is a moot point though if there is more than 80 bowl eligible teams next Sunday morning.

  32. Ohana Hawaii November 20, 2016 3:47 pm

The Flying O! I’ve read your response. You were really honest truth! . But if the Hawaii win by one or two touchdown or a field goal. They won’t have a chance to get a bowl game or even a lose to them. They have to win really big!. And might get one berth.

  33. Maddog50 November 20, 2016 3:59 pm

The opponent this week is the team itself. It is every week for those that have played the game at a competitive level. I’d say a few folks have understand this. The opposition doesn’t matter and never really does-its about performance and execution at an exhausting level.

U Mass has two wins over Wagner and FIU. Who cares they are gonna show up and this is their bowl game so to speak. I would still put UT Martin up against UMass schedule and they would fair just as well. Hate to say it but I see about 20 games a week entire games, portions of or at least quarters. They are gonna throw the ball and have some fun with other stuff to finish the year. The head Coach is kinda like a Chris Ault sort who helped build the program up left and is now back-no time for anything but the kind of game a proud player should expect from themselves-on top of that Senior Night-Aloha should not mean goodbye! GoWarriors!!!!

  34. clyde November 20, 2016 4:15 pm

Willie #14: From my recollection (and I may be wrong), the DB knocked the ball free from Kemp before he had a chance to secure it with his body. It was a heads-up play; credit to the defense on that one.

Akamai #23: Totally agree with your plusses and minuses, but the plusses far outweigh the minuses.

A-House #27: I believe Matautia redshirted his freshman year out of Campbell. Yes, he’s playing well (enough to unseat Williams).

I can’t recall who raised the point about Rolo trying to build a culture in this program, but that assessment was spot-on. Rolo and his staff might be enduring growing pains of their own, but his vision for the program is to be commended.

  35. burro sabio November 20, 2016 5:15 pm

UMass is not a “terrible team”. They lost 34-28 at South Carolina and turned over the ball 4 times.

  36. SteveM November 20, 2016 6:10 pm

Its been a loooong time since we talked Hawaii Bowl, but I vaguely recall there is an understanding in the MWC that if Hawaii is bowl eligible (and not eligible/invited to a higher bowl), then Hawaii will play in the Hawaii Bowl regardless of any MWC team with a better record. This, of course, is to protect the attendance/continuance of the Hawaii Bowl – MWC affiliation and maybe throw a scrap to the airfare-paying UH.

    Do I recall correctly?
In any event, this assumes that Hawaii would be “bowl eligible” with a 6-7 record this year…. and that we get to 6 wins this year.

  37. Ran November 20, 2016 6:19 pm

if the MW has six teams that are eligible for the affiliated bwl games, then I would think the Hawaii Bowl is out, since the HB wold be obligated to invited the six teams and not Hawaii.

But if nationwide, there are not enough teams for the rest of the mid tier bowls,, then Hawaii could be invited to a mainland bowl right??

  38. cappie the dog November 20, 2016 6:40 pm

Hawaii is on the verge of six wins.

I can’t fathom why everybody is not in a guarded celebratory mood.

    6-7 is a major accomplishment.

If not for Wyoming’s Boll, I think Coach Rolovich would be Mountain West Coach of the Year.

If Hawaii makes it to a bowl game, the whole team should do the haka on Coach Holtz’s lawn.

  39. 808warriorfan November 20, 2016 6:43 pm

UMass … let’s see … Boston to Salt Lake city round trip then Boston to Honolulu in back to back weeks … NO SYMPATHY FROM WARRIOR FANS …

LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … ‘GO BOWS !!!!!

  40. al November 20, 2016 6:44 pm

The guideline is that Hawaii will appear in the Hawaii bowl when eligible. It saves the travel expenses and hopefully will draw more fans.

Unless Hawaii qualifies for or is invited to a higher level bowl, for example, the Sugar Bowl, then it will be playing in the Hawaii bowl.

Not a bad deal for us when you look at it.

  41. cappie the dog November 20, 2016 6:49 pm

Jerry Palm at CBS Sportsline has Hawaii projected to play Old Dominion.

  42. al November 20, 2016 6:52 pm

I don’t think that there are many who actually thought that we would be in this position at this time of the year.

  43. al November 20, 2016 6:55 pm

I thought La Tech and Texas San Antonio were the possibles?

  44. SteveM November 20, 2016 6:58 pm

    RE: my #36
    Found this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaii_Bowl

“…As part of the bowl charter, a “HawaiÊ»i guarantee” allows the University of HawaiÊ»i an automatic bid to the bowl provided it is bowl eligible and does not receive a bid to a bowl in the College Football Playoff, ….If HawaiÊ»i is not eligible then another Mountain West team receives the bid.”

So the “Hawaii guarantee” is in the charter of the bowl game as run by ESPN Regional Television. The MWC only supplies a team if Hawaii is not eligible.

  45. Derek November 20, 2016 8:59 pm

You cannot overestimate or take any opponent lightly, especially the University of Hawaii. We have seen the turnovers, the stupid penalties, the poor run defense, etc. etc. etc. UMass played a tough schedule and have scored a decent amount of points. They have Division I caliber players and will have played maybe 7 or 8 potential bowl teams. It will not be a cake walk. To me, a 9 point favorite to open is way too high. UH cannot even think about a potential bowl game right now. You know what they say, “Bachi”. The only thing that Rolo and his staff and the players need to do this week is good preparation, good practice, good game plan, and good execution. And maybe a couple of good wrinkles to surprise UMass.

We’ll see what happens on Saturday night. Good luck to the team.

  46. Old Coach November 21, 2016 5:14 am

I was at the game Saturday night and it appeared that one team didn’t know how to win and the other was scared to win. It was ugly for a good part of the game and if Fresno makes a few simple catches the game may have turned out differently.

I’ve coached football for a long time and the ball bounces funny some times, at the end of the day this team has exceeded expectations they were picked to finish last in the division. This team will get better, they could certainly use some extra practices that come with a bowl birth. They have a lot of CHOW that needs to graduate and move on, for this coaching staff it was like Apollo 13 ( ‘OK guy’s this is what we got to work with- let’s figure out a way to get them home!)

This coaching staff is committed to this team and fine tuning will be done with coaches and players. So everybody hold tight, take a deep breath and look forward to some much better quality football in the future. Believe me COACH ROLO is exactly what this team needed at the exact time they got him, he’s young and energetic and loves the kids and this island!

This guy won’t let us down, I can see and feel it!!!

  47. H-Man November 21, 2016 6:40 am

Add to the list, poor run offense. At least, inconsistent at best.

  48. oldtimer808 November 21, 2016 7:52 am

OhanaHawaii: What the heck are you blogging about? Your grammar sucks.

  49. Buffoman November 21, 2016 9:22 am

All UH has to do to properly prepare for this week’s opponent is look at their last performance. FSU had one win and nothing in conference and came within a blocked field goal attempt from winning their second game, first in conference.

Don’t know if we took them lightly, although our playing and penalties sort of points to that. We’re not that good to look at anyone’s record of wins and loses and believe we can just show up. Time to practice with determination and show it when the lights turn on.

  50. Michael November 21, 2016 10:11 am

If you look at the teams with 6-loses going into this week, they are: Northwestern, Indiana, Maryland, North Texas, Southern Miss, Akron, Miami of Ohio, Arizona State, UL Lafayette, NC State, Boston College, Texas, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and SMU. Hawaii needs four of these fifteen teams to lose and obviously needs to beat UMass in order to make bowl game. Looking at ESPN’s FPI, which predicts a teams probability of winning, the most likely candidates to lose are:
-Southern Miss vs. Louisiana Tech (So. Miss has a 21.7% of winning)
    -Akron vs. Ohio (27.1%)
-UL Lafayette vs. Arkansas St. (31.1%)
-NC State vs. North Carolina (19.4%)
-Boston College vs. Wake Forest (29.9%)
    -Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee (26.2%)
    -SMU vs. Navy (32.4%)
Of these seven games, if four go Hawaii’s way, then Hawaii has a path to a bowl game. If not, then other possible scenarios would be TCU beating Texas (53%) or UTEP beating North Texas (53%). After that, it would take big upsets for Hawaii to make the Hawaii Bowl.

  51. Casual Observer November 21, 2016 10:32 am

The Warriors need to be productive and efficient offensively. The offense needs to regain its mojo and outscore Umass by a lot. They also need to reduce penalties and turnovers. Defensively, create turnovers, bend but don’t break. Umass has nothing to lose so expect the unexpected. It is on the coaches to get the team ready and focused.

  52. Inyoface November 21, 2016 10:54 am

    What happen to our offense?

  53. Ipu Man November 21, 2016 11:04 am

    Old Dominion is 8-3.
They just beat Florida Atlantic 42-24.
    Conference USA

  54. winning November 21, 2016 11:39 am

Spot on #45. How changing up the O again. 4 wide, no back and run and gun!! I’m sure UH has got those in their playbook. We got too predictable!! Lets surprise them. If we match well against their run D then go with our Samoan tractor and the speed guys That’s why I believe we lost to NMexico. Again, I thot Norm Chow was on the sidelines or upstairs with Smith. Gee whiz, lets get back to exciting football. Our run guys got beat up because Nmex knew what was coming and thats also why the gate went way DOWN the following games. Lets go and thrash the Minutemen-Sorry Paul Revere.

  55. SFFD madman November 21, 2016 12:09 pm

  56. jr November 21, 2016 12:11 pm

It is so bad when some one calls them self ohana hawaii and down the hawaii warriors . when ohana means family family means to be of one ,i think this rolo team has shown they can be 1 .family hawaii pride !!!!!! simba hawaii team as one (ekahi) i know you are trying your best .it shows you love this team and state .cant satisfy this blog non so called fans .just keep coaching good job.

  57. A-House November 21, 2016 12:15 pm

before watching the Fresno St replay — I was hopeful that the OC would have a better play calling plan, but after watching the 1st qtr, I gave up and went outside to finish my painting chores.

same oh — same oh and someone pointed out that Brian Smith had OC experience and his offense did well – who did his team play?

with all due respect to Brian Smith and Coach Rolo — there needs to be a change as soon as possible — how can an OC keep running between the tackles when the “D” has stacked it with 7 or 8 defenders? wishing for a miracle that his OL will create space for the RB? that’s dreaming!! more so, if the OL cannot control the LOS. any other plays in the “book” they can run away from the “middle”?

is UH offensive play book so small that the OC keeps calling the same or nearly the same play with little or no success? I would suspect Rolo’s OC playbook would be several inches thick with many, many plays other than “up-da-middle” [ between the tackles ] — why keep running into a “tight defense” blows my mind!

  58. Willie November 21, 2016 12:16 pm

Clyde#34, yes the DB made a good play. If you see the play in slow motion, ball was tried to be caught with the chest. Catching the ball with the hands is much more secure than the chest. No guaranty, but IMO the odds are better. Try holding a ball with the chest and then the hands and have some one try to punch it loose.

Kemp does not look the ball into his hands and squeeze the ball with his fingers as his basic technique. That wide open drop the week before with no DB within 5 yards hit him right in he chest. I said it last week, your chest alone cannot secure the ball without the arms or hands. On the other hand, your fingers with your hands secures the ball without the arms or chest. Remember Davone Bess and Greg Salas, both had soft hands and think about their technique versus Kemp. And these guys aren’t 6’4″

  59. A-House November 21, 2016 12:28 pm

I will be very happy if UH is invited to a bowl game, but hesitant about watching if the OC will keep calling the same plays – so predictable and easy to defend.

if they get the Hawaii Bowl invite, I hesitate going — yes, we must support the team, but there are limits

how can I be happy with the OC and DC play calling and we have many different opinions on this also

did Rolo inspire a new attitude? appears so — did Rolo create an interest? initially, yes, but witness the attendance drop the last 2 home games — hell, home coming and there were 9 students in the section!!!!!! 9, I counted them through my binocs.

is there hope that 2017 will be better? I believe so, until we see the first game or the “dreggs” before the 1st game if same OC and DC.

I monku like heck, but I will be at the home games!

give credit where it is due — heck, yes, but very little to give in 2016.

al-san: care to wager what UH record will be in 2017? if same OC/DC, best will be 6 and 7 or worse!!!

Hey, Willie: Thanks. I did not see the play in slow-mo. In game speed, it appeared that Kemp reached out with his hands to grab the ball and before he had a chance to secure it, the DB came across and knocked it free. Oh, well … moving on.

4-4 in the MWC, 3 conference road wins, I would say Coach Rolovich, his assistants and staff, and the team did a great job. I’m hoping all the assistant coaches and football staff return next year. The student-athletes can have continuity and will know what to expect and what is expected of them. Disappointed at the attendance at games. Let’s support the UofHawaii this week and go to the game (instead of going shopping.)
    Go ‘Bows.

“It is so bad when some one calls them self ohana hawaii and down the hawaii warriors .”
Was that what he was doing? The grammar is so bad it’s hard to follow his thought process…….If any.

All I can say is that we can’t take UMass lightly. They may be 2-9, but they played big teams close…well, not counting BYU that is.

“We were great once (Nevada, San Jose, Air Force) we can be great again.”

Win or lose you have to admit Rolo did a hell of a job compared to the last 4 years.

    A house
For the last time, I will say this to you. Because your skull getting mighty thick these days.

For one, I believe Lempa has done an admirable job. He did quite a bit with the very young and thin group of defenders he had to work with.

Cannot and I repeat for the 1000th time to you, cannot coach up size, speed, and to a certain degree capacity if it’s not there to begin with. Cannot.

Only God created man out of a 100 lbs of clay.

Brian Smith had his challenges, too. But we’ve also had successes enough to win five games so far with a shot at seven. Oh we got halted` we are not there yet, in comparable levels of talent, size, speed, etc.

How many “fans” like you guessed that we’d only win 3-4 games? Which means we have also overachieved given the sparse cupboard the florist left behind. Come on be honest.

For me, I give a lot credit for changing the mindset of these young men who represent their families and this state. I love how to a man they are so appreciative of the opportunity to do such.

Almost every rebuilding program/coach is given a 3-4 year expectancy to rebuild a team. All, maybe except you who gave up on them after three weeks. Which means you are not a fan after all.

You asked I gave my opinion.

Meanwhile, I’ll take you up on your bet. Double or nothing. With or without new staff.

    …nuff said

AT HALF=TIME DURING ANY UHFB GAME, ALL THE PRO-UH BLOGGER FANS SHOULD FORM ONE TEAM, AND ALL THE ANTI-UH BLOGGER NAYSAYERS SHOULD FORM THE OTHER TEAM, AND THEY SHOULD PLAY EACH OTHER FOR 10 MINUTES; TACKLE FOOTBALL WITHOUT REFS. ANOTHER VARIATION: TURN OFF THE OVERHEAD FIELD FLOODLIGHTS. HAHAHAHA!!!
