Fisher revealed the key to US success:

“The key for us was the reception as we were able to set up our fast game,” said Daniel Fisher, coach of USA. “When we can play fast it is difficult to defend against us. I think (Madison) Kindon played her best game of the tournament so far.”

UH coaches please take note. Speed has replaced the older “high and wide to the outside” strategy. With a plethora of possible liberos reception should not be an issue.

Blunite – If UH can do well consistently with their reception, then the plethora of setters could help to speed up the game. ;o) The quick sets in the middle has proven time and time again how dangerous UH is. The quick sets to the outside would be even more impressive if UH can get their slide attack back like Adolpho used to do. They were too slow and predictable last year.

Slide attacks…imagine if we could be get it going like how Victoria Prince, Amber Kaufman, Angelica, etc used to excel at, a dimension kind of out of sync in recent years!

    5. yep, new thread up

1-4. tough crowd. But think you’ll see a quicker offense this year. Maglio still working on her slide but she has gained more confidence so you’ll likely see that more . Mitchem runs a good slide but she isn’t the quickest.
