Just want to say the Wahine Volleyball program looks so good with the current players and the three recruits joining next year.
Read the Thursday print/online edition of Star-Advertiser, and was confused by this line in the article on the Bows: “Saturday’s contest features two of the top serving teams in the conference and the country — UCI (91, 1.49 aps, 25th nationally) and Hawaii (76, 1.69 aps, 20th nationally)..”
Under the ACES PER SET category, as of October 1st, Hawai’i is indeed 20th nationally but Irvine ranks 57th nationally).
Under the TEAM [TOTAL] SERVICE ACES category, Irvine ranked 25th nationally (tied with other teams) and — as of October 1st — ranked 28th nationally (tied with others). Hawai’i — as of October 1st — is ranked 94th nationally (tied with others).
guess i should have been better at breaking up the two categories. UCK with 91 is 25th nationally in aces, UH at 1.69 is 20th in aps.
