No. 5 SandBows home Saturday, Spieler-Maglio honored

Pepperdine moved to No.1 after beating preseason No. 1 USC last weekend. SC to 2, UCLA up three spots to 3, FSU up one to 4. Hawaii at 5, The Beach at 6

Also, Spieler-Maglio won the inaugural Big West pairs of the Week.
They teamed together on the second day of the event and posted wins over No. 2 Pepperdine and No. 4 Long Beach State.
The pair took down Pepperdine’s Kaity Bailey and Delaney Knudsen, 21-19, 21-16 at No. 2 in UH’s 4-1 loss to the Waves.
They later defeated LBSU’s Rachel Nieto and Kobi Pekich, 21-18, 21-13 at No. 1 in UH’s 4-1 win over the Beach.
While playing with a different partner Friday, Maglio recorded a 1-1 mark at No. 3 with a win over UCLA. Maglio finished the weekend with a 3-1 record while Spieler went 2-2.
Forgot to mention that the Warriors dropped a spot to No. 8 this week. Top six remain the same: The Beach, BYU, Stanford, UCLA, Ohio State and Penn State

1. don’t know if that’s been decided. She didn’t travel last weekend. They are still evaluating but the SandBows have tended to redshirt true freshmen with a couple of exceptions.
