You might see redshirt freshman Luke Owens on crutches, has a meniscus tear in his knee. He’s been out with a broken hand, think it’s been broken three times, mostly in high school. said he’s going to get another surgery on it.

Worsley getting the start, as is Sobrig over McKellar.
Amazing blind backset by Worlsey to van Tilburg. UH up 10-7. TO BYU
BYU on a 4-0 run, behind the serving of Sander. Cougars up 11-10. TO UH
BYU up 15-11 at the TTO. Sander’s service run had 3 aces and a Cougar kill on a service overpass.
two calls go against UH. Warriors called for screening on Worsley’s serve. Zarkovic blocked, appeared to go out but up ref called it in. linesman indicated he was screened out of play. it’s 22-18. TO UH
BYU wins 25-22.
Crappy calls by this R1…I’ve had it with this official. He’s horrible and he seems chummy with the BYU players.
7. not seeing that chumminess but … but agree the calls have been questionable. don’t understand the screening one at all. BYU up 15-11 at the TTO
BYU called for an overreach when trying to save the overpass. UH has closed to 17-16. TO Cougars.
Two hitting errors by Fey, just wide, and on a tight set, and BYU up 21-18. TO UH
Patch is taunting through the net…Low class…
Warriors have made it interesting. closing to 23-22. kill by Langlois gives BYU set point at 24-22. TO UH
Fey’s attempt shakes the net and the antenna. BYU wins 25-22
Zarkovic with an ace. UH up 11-8. TO BYU
2 blocks by BYU and it’s 13-11. TO UH
Patch serves long. UH up 15-13 at the TTO
11. BYU has always been chippy. Didn’t see it as taunting but his celebration was directed to UH’s side instead of his own.
Cougars on a 4-0 run take their first lead at 17-15. TO UH
Worsley on 2 and the place erupts. UH up 20-18. TO BYU
Frank and Fey with kills. Warriors take Set 3 25-23
It would be silly of Wade not to start Frank. Sobrig is having a decent match, but being a new face and getting that one kill will make throw off BYU’s blocking as they will have to adjust their blocking assignments.
Interesting lineup. Francisckovic into serve and set, McKellar in a OP, Mol middle.
BYU takes the lead at the TTO 15-13
BYU on a 6-0 run, it’s 18-13. TO UH
Ben Patch should’ve been carded for his recent celebrations. He has directed a few through the net and neither ref is calling it…sad
Zarkovic aced. it’s 20-14. TO UH
UH has pulled to 21-18. TO BYU
BYU wins 25-21
25. Don, don’t know about it but the up ref did let a lot of things go. Still don’t understand the screen call. Wade very unhappy with that, and the down ball call that the down ref wanted to overrule but the up ref didn’t want to discuss it.
Despite the loss I’m encouraged by Hawaii’s play tonight. It’s been a while but, I believe, they’re finally starting to refind their rhythm.
Can someone please explain to me Charlie Wade’s rationale for his double sub in the 4th set? And why he waited 3 (or was it 4 points) to put the starters back in. Not saying Hawaii would have pulled out the 4th set but they didn’t need to be hobbled by a dumbaxx coaching move.
