Men’s volleyball: U.S. sweeps Russia 3-0 in VNL pool play

The U.S. (2-0) with the 25-21, 25-17, 25-20 win over Russia, will play Brazil in Saturday’s first semifinal of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Chicago.(noon HST)..
The U.S. (1-0) had already clinched a spot in Saturday’s semifinal, thanks to France going 0-2 and being eliminated. Poland and Russia also into Saturday’s play.
Brazil clinched the other spot with a 3-2 win over Iran on Friday, keeping Iran from advancing.

    Noticed that Mita Uiato is helping out at the youth camp this week. Is she here just for the week or will she be staying here awhile to get her masters or even be the new volunteer coach?

    I know Nick Castello was the volunteer coach for the past couple of years but that position usually changes once in a while to bring in new blood. Would be great to have Mita on the staff.
