No. 4 Long Beach State 3, No. 5 Hawaii 0
Same links as Wednesday
I wouldn’t recommend the radio feed, either on the ‘net or 1500-AM pickup. it’s not very good

Link for live stream doesn’t work. Oh well, guess gotta stick w live stats, go warriors, I hope we can get it together and take a match from them!
1. they had issues to start on Wednesday. keep trying
Hawaii starting same as the other night, van Tilburg, Mol, Gasman, Parapunov, Matautia, Franciskovic, Tuileta.
Hawaii, trailing most of Set 1, has tied it at 18. TO Beach
Beach with 2 quick points, makes it 20-18. TO UH
Down 21-18, Rosenmeier in for van Tilburg
Another kill by Ensing makes it 22-18. TO UH
Rosenmeir blocked. Van Tilburg returns and gets aced. at 24-18, Gasman ends the bleeding but too late. DeFalco ends it 25-19.
This is just bad, error after error after error.
This long Beach announcer really makes me appreciate UH’s announcers and that Primeticket always picks up the wahine/long beach matches on tv.
Jennings just needs to set the middles, they seem to be the only ones able to put the ball away today.
Not great VB on UH’s side today. I don’t think van Tilburg is comfortable on the left. Kind of surprised Parapanov still in. Beach u p 11-6. TO UH
not good at all. Beach up 20-12. TO UH
This announcer seems to think killing the ball on an overpass is a roof lol
UH’s passing is sooo bad. Think they need to make some changes for set 3.
9. hard to set the middles when you can’t pass or keep having service errors. 5 SEs already in Set 2
Rosenmeier in for Matautia.
Fey in for van Tilburg after he gets aced by DeFalco for a third time. it’s 22-13
Worsley in for Franciskovic at 22-13
Ending ends it 25-14.
HOLY SMOKES we got beat up in that 2nd set, shesh! I hope during the break we can re-group and get things together…..
Warriors going with Worsley, Rosenmeier, van Tilburg, Solbrig, Gasman, Rattray and Tuileta. UH outblocked 9-0 so far.
three hitting errors by Rattray and a kill by Ensing puts the Beach up 10-6. TO UH
too many errors, sadly this is probably over, they don’t seem to have any confidence right now.
I wonder why they don’t give Tui a chance on the left. He’s like a Micah Ma’a type player. Mix it up….it can’t get any worse.
still no blocks, unbelievable.
Worsley called for BHE, it’s 21-15. TO UH
That is embarassing, Long beach is not a tall team, they have 6’4 and 6’1 Outsides and a 6’3 setter and 6’4 middle and they just dominated at the net. inexcusable and now they have to regroup and play Irvine in less than 24 hours.
Huus ends it 25-18.
Warriors outblocked 10-0
22. no other liberos on the trip. Worsley and Fey are options but they were already in the game at S and OH

first time since Jan. 30, 14 UH without an ace. only records i can find go back to 2000 and they’ve always had a block in the past 17 seasons.
UCI nearly loses at UCSD. Tritons up 11-7 in the fifth, couldn’t hold on 17-15
Tomorrow’s match is must win, this team needs it.
I was hoping to see more fans at the Stan Sheriff after this road trip, but since they are not winning and losing embarrassingly bad tonight after almost sweeping the 49ers on Wednesday, looks like the good old days of Yuval Katz are not coming back this season. I hope for whatever reason, the team responds positively and will start bringing down the errors. Hats off to LBSU, only THREE errors.
Very disappointing that Rado struggled against a 6′ 4 and 6′ 1 block friday, hope he plays better Saturday. UCI will have a much bigger block.
We were planning on driving up from San Diego to watch Friday’s game, but the weather in Southern California was really bad so we passed on it. It seems that there was a storm at the Pyramid, raining aces and blowing the Warriors off the court. If the weather is better, maybe we’ll head up to UCI tonight, and give “Presho” our Aloha. He coached our boy in high school. Hopefully we’ll see a better game tonight, if not, then I’m following the SandBows. Five of my Beach girls are playing for UH. Bookumdanoaloh

32. young team. first road trip. But the SandBows should be good.
interestingly UCI had a longer night than Hawaii, after 5 had to drive back up to Irvine. Warriors only short drive to their hotel after their match.
