I wish people would remember that they are discussing 18-22 year-old amateur athletes.
Understand the passion but still
Had a wonderful chat with Cia Goods Fernandez today, preparing to write a story that will run in a few days.
Young mother of 5, kids are 13 and younger. Family living on Maui. Husband’s cousin is Kalei Adolpho
Diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. And yet, refuses to be anything but positive.
I hope you all will keep her in your prayers. It’s going to be a tough battle.

I agree with you, Cindy! I have always noted that they are young college students and not professionals…both here and the football team. I think we go overboard because we have no professional teams. First clue: our tickets are really inexpensive given the games we are allowed to watch.
