Lancers take the 15-14 lead at the TTO. very even match so far

Cal Baptist arguing that Worsley should be called for back row blocker, which probably is the right call but don’t know know if Cal Baptist will get it.
McKellar in for van Tilburg on the outside.
hard to tell if there was a touch on Zarkovic but he got the call and CBU the yellow card.
Cal Baptist with the 11=7 lead and calls timeout. Worsley in as a serving sub. Franciskovic serving
16. No way worsley was back row. His hands were never above the plane of the net. Hands in a defensive position.
Worsley now setting, called for a back row block. this just might go five.
20. which is why it was overruled.
Cal Baptist up 15-9 at the TTO.
Aiyah. This is terrible.
UH has closed to 16-15. TO CBU
20. That..and the CBU coach must’ve left his rulebook in Riverside.
13. agree.
Cal Baptist up 18-15. TO UH
Looking very ragged out there. Lancers up 22-16. TO UH
Lancers win 25-18. on to Set 5
UH up 10-5. TO CBU
uh wins 15-9
should have been over at 845. that was quiet a loss of focus. But to Cal Baptist’s credit they fought through, with something to play for. Lancers can still get the playoff berth by beating Hawaii and having UCI lose at Long Beach State
Saturday will be interesting.
Just can’t see this team making much noise in the playoffs, their offense is too predictable and defense is too pourous, letting way too many outside hitters hit over .400 the past month or so. Oh well, hope they prove me wrong.
Had an early feeling it would go 5. In the first set CB was closing in on double digit blocks and Hawaii had maybe one. Hawaii was relying on digging and passing, but weren’t laying a hand on anything the CB middles were hitting. You could see CB gaining confidence and the upper hand, while Hawaii’s digging and passing deteriorated with each succeeding set, and CB’s improved along with their blocking. CB was able to see where Hawaii’s sets and offense were going seemingly before Hawaii knew. While Hawaii’s blocking was very poor most of the match, especially against the CB middles. Hawaii blockers rarely moved together, and frequently looked completely out of sync with the CB hitters, getting caught flat footed or jumping too early. It wasn’t until the fifth set that the blocking looked well timed and well formed. If it weren’t for Siki’s live arm and Fey’s defense and serving tonight, they wouldn’t have pulled this one out. Fey really stepped it up on the service line. Not sure why he started backing off again at the end in the 5th set, but by that point CB was ready to be put away and even the soft floater serves were working.
Wahine received committment from Sophia Howling, 6′ 2″ MB.
Howling looks good. Good quickness and hops.
Howling does look like a mini Olivia Magill, no step out but good atheticism and quickness. Not a bad pick up, glad to see some news on recruiting, most top schools are almost done with 2018 recruiting.
Actually her step out looks pretty good

Great quickness, thanks for that video the previous videos I saw of her did not show her doing the step out. Is it just me or does she appear to be taller than 6’1 aslo, like Magill.
who is the main Wahines recruiter. Jeff Hall? I thought when Sealy left we would have a big void. We seem to do okay since with Maglio, Greely, Castillo and Burn among others.
34. they did. been working on a story
