Averill, Crabb help U.S. beat Colombia at Pan Ams

Hawaii incoming senior middle blocker Taylor Averill and setter Taylor Crabb, a Punahou School graduate, helped the U.S. to a 25-18, 25-23, 25-15 victory over Colombia to open pool play Tuesday at the Pan America Cup men’s volleyball tournament in Tijuana, Mexico.\

Averill had seven kills, a block and an ace, while Crabb, who played at Long Beach State, had eight kills and an ace.

the U.S. continues play Wednesday against Mexico, which swept Colombia on Monday.
