It’s a good thing that the SSC (originally known at the Special Events Arena) wasn’t built to the seating capacity of 7,000 (proposed by the lawmakers – both State Legislature & Honolulu City Council (Zoning Committee)).

    Jim Leahey remembers this.

Hey Cindy….the online ticket site only shows about 700 seats available. Is UH not counting/leaving out a number of seats for some reason?

Players speak highly of the SSC and the SSC is good for recruiting too. I like going there. Good bento/eats and atmosphere.

I just counted 382 seats available on Saturday. Wow!! So excited to feel the energy in the arena.

Saturday would be a great place to take recruits to watch regardless of sport.

    1. a number of us remember that. Dave Shoji was on board with the smaller arena because he just wanted something built. There was an expansion plan also in place. AD Stan Sheriff held out.
    3. Hey, have no idea. just put out the number given yesterday.. People may have bought online after that.
