Did Hawai offer the Punahou Kid that plays for Long Beach. Kind of upsetting that he’s playing for the Beach.

Very hard to get the elite Punahou kids. They get pressured to go elsewhere. Not only did Siegfried went away, we lost Ryan Wilcox to UCSB so it’s an ongoing struggle to land the top local kids.
If the local kids doesn’t want to rep Hawaii, then good luck to them. I am happy with our mainland/international guys repping Hawaii very very well.
Guys like Pat Gasman, Joe and Gage, Rosey,, Carlton and the rest of the guys have made me proud. Good people, good citizens and great volleyball players.

At least Long Beach won’t be able to sweep Pepperdine. At best they can win in four sets. Maybe Andrew from the previous thread will get his wish for a five-set match.

Agree with the comment about Lewis…They are a very good team that has been playing very well recently…UH hit well above 300, outserved Lewis 10-1 and outblocked them 14-4.5…Those are very solid numbers…

Not every local kid wants to stay home. Doesn’t matter what high school they went to.
