I’m curious about the heights of the Nittadai players. One of the guys looks so small like a little boy. Does anyone know what’s the height of the shortest Nittadai player?
Cindy, who did they show on the screen that the players were waving at? I couldn’t hear what the announcer said.
1. Starting setter Mutsumi Fujimaki is 5-8. He is the shortest. The libero is 5-9. One starting OH is 5-10.
2. It was Patrick Gasman’s brother. I had a hard time hearing as well. Believe he’s in the military and his ship just got into port at Pearl
2. I think it was Pat Gasmen’s older brother
3. Thanks, Cindy.
the PA system at the ssc is as bad as the one at the aloha stadium. you can’t understand a word being said and the louder the announcers sometimes scream into the microphone the worse the sound is. doesn’t anyone at the ssc recognize this?
They said it was Patrick Gasman’s older brother who just returned at Pearl Harbor. I think they said he was on a submarine. It was cute. They said the older brother got “deployed” (I don’t know if it’s the correct word) and is here to watch his younger brother play. It was kind of a special thing.
Regarding Patrick Gasman’s brother:
Older brother Taylor Gasman
Member of U.S. Navy
Just finished deployment aboard USS Texas
Mahalo for your service to our country, sir!

new thread up for Saturday on SandBows and MVB schedule on mainland
Thank you all for the help re: Gasman’s brother.
The arena apparently will be closed for part of this summer to undergo maintenance. They are aware of the PA issues.
be nice if those got fixed before next week
There is also a problem when they change announcers. Some voices don’t come across as well as others. Billy V is very understandable.
