Both refs stink..TJ argued a net violation and should’ve been carded…too weak…
2, The top ref stinks more. He blew two wrong whistles that stopped the play.
On a different matter, whom should we root for in this first semifinal? At first I rooted for UCSB, but now I’m not so sure if that ts the right option. What if Hawaii lost the final if it got there? If it is to Long Beach, then Hawaii, #2, should get the at-large berth. But if Long Beach were not in the final match, can UH beat UCSB a third time? A loss to UCSB would be fatal.
Of course, the NCAA can’t be expected to be fair. They just penalized Cal Poly with a heavy, heavy hand for a piddly thing, not being accurate with textbook expenses. So Cal Poly had to forfeit its Big West basketball championship back in 2014.
So Hawaii must win no matter whom they face. I am back to being neutral now on the first set. Perhaps it doesn’t really matter.
2. Correction: this is the third set. I meant the first match.
