Congrats to Parapunov, National POW

Not a real surprise: Rado Parapunovf was named the national player of the week after Hawaii’s two road sweeps of UC Irvine.

Parapunov helped the Rainbow Warriors to a pair of sweeps on the road at Irvine; led all players with 34 total kills while recording hitting percentages of .387 and .565, respectively; tallied four blocks in both matches and tied for the second-most on the team in the first match with six digs; was named the Big West Conference player of the week.

This is the 22nd time the program has picked up Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week honors, and the first since Brook Sedore took home the honor on February 10, 2015.

    Hard to believe there hasn’t been anyone since 2015.
