Madut, Colina to pursue pro dreams after this season
Two University of Hawaii basketball juniors — guard Junior Madut and center Mate Colina — have decided to pursue pro aspirations and not return for their senior seasons in 2022-23.
Both are scheduled to earn bachelor’s degrees in May.
Madut, who was born in South Sudan and reared in Australia, will his explore his basketball options.
Colina, who grew up in Australia, already signed a future contract to play footie for the Richmond Tigers of the Australian Football League. Colina said he will focus on his Australian rules football training following the end of the Rainbow Warriors’ season.

It’s been a minute, as the kids like to say.
So, it’s baseball at Les Murakami Stadium tonight.
So, while I’m cleaning up at home, I found a bunch of 2007 media guides. Anyone want ’em, let me know. I’ll even throw in a pack of Clorox wipes.
Who would want a 2007 media guide, it’s not like that was a memorable year or anything.
Kidding, of course! I even purchased a Phil Steele guide that year, thinking it would be a special season. Fond memories…
Speaking of fond memories, remember the blog? That used to be a thing. 🤣
Meanwhile, back at the BraddaHood:

Hey ST, awesome to have you back! We’ve missed you!
Can you share anything about what’s happening with Jerome Desrosiers? As you know he’s scheduled to join Junior and Mate in being recognized on Senior Night. Just wondering whether that means UH is still waiting to hear back from the NCAA on his petition for another year of eligibility or if it means the possibility of playing one more season is no longer on the table.
Wow. I must have been sleeping for years.
This is just cause for a celebration,
Hmmmm. Perhaps a Cattle Call is in order?
You in?
Al, will there be food? If there is food, count me in!
Food…?
Ask a silly question.
For me, Madut should wait a year before considering a pro career.
He needs to work on his shot, handles, defense, and BB IQ.
