Hawaii men’s basketball: ‘Bows picked fourth in Big West preseason poll
The Rainbow Warrior basketball team was picked fourth in the nine-team Big West, according to a media poll released today.
The ‘Bows return three starters and eight letterwinners.
UC Irvine was picked No. 1 in polling of 31 media members. UCI earned 258 points and 15 first-place votes to beat out UC Santa Barbara by two points.

Cal State Northridge was third with 202 points. Hawaii received 155 points.
Last season, the ‘Bows were picked sixth. They finished fourth with a 9-7 league record.
No UH player was named to the preseason all-conference team.
The all-league players are Lamine Diane and Terrell Gomez of CSUN; Max Heidegger and Amadou Sow of UC Santa Barbara; Evan Leonard of UC Irvine, and Dikymbe Martin of UC Riverside.
Probably another middle of pack finish this season in conference and getting ousted in the first round of the BW tournament
How many more years of Ganot do we fans need to be put through ? Constantly poor recruiter.

Unfortunately seems like a while. The non conference has enough winnable games and they typically do well enough in conference to get to or near the 20 win mark even though they ultimately get ousted right away in the tournament. Ganot also runs a clean program
FOOTBALL !!!
The Hawaii football team is bringing reinforcements for Saturday’s road game against New Mexico.
Receiver Kumoku Noa is set to make his 2019 debut after a variety of ailments limited him to six games during his four-year UH career.
And defensive end Mason Vega, who missed the past two games because of an ankle ailment, also has been cleared for the inter-division Mountain West meeting.
GO WARRIORS !!!
BEAT UP them LOS LOBOS !!!
One MWC writer’s view of game (where’s UH defense?)>

GO WARRIORS!!!
should beat NM. Weak pass defense against our weak run Defense. Again, just gotta outscore them. #2 QB for NM potential but not enough reps. 52-21 WIPEOUT! We hope.
ST any news on injuries? Wasn’t there a couple DB’s/Safeties that got injured against Air Force?

UH to get $1.9 mill for body bag game at Mich / 2022.
Gonna have to earn this and reset the season. Anything less than a sound solid effort would not bode well. I expect the Warriors to come out firing on all cylinders-GoWarriors!!!
Dave Reardon reports that Mary Buggs, mother of point guard Drew, recently passed away. Condolences to the Drew and his family.
They must be really struggling to schedule teams if they’re doing a home and home vs New Mexico State in the same season. Not exactly a team that sparks excitement
Ganot is BORING. Although I will give him credit that he does get people out to his fundraisers. Maybe that partially offsets the decline in ticket sales.
Condolences to the Buggs Ohana.
Hi folks…I’m back, mostly. Mahalo for all the good wishes!
I hope the team has a charter flight back from Michigan in 2022… to get back home ASAP and begin treatments to get ready for the remainder of the season.
Great news SteveM…..heal up and hope to see you at the next Tsaiko get together.
Great to have you back SteveM!
