UCSB hanging tough against Texas…about to go up 2-1…
The announcer at the SSC for volleyball is so much better than the guy at football games at Aloha Stadium or the basketball announcer.
His name is, I think, Ben Kinaaina? He should be the announcer for every sport.
UCSB is really spreading the offense. If they can keep this up, they can upset Texas.
How come Honolulu Spectrum customers can’t get the SD vs WSU stream ? I get the same message as for the PPV football games – blackout market. I can usually stream the UH wvb games though.

Yes, resetting the location on your VPN to other than Hawaii works.
I’ve able to watch the SD – WSU match on my Mac plus watching the UCSB-Texas match (which is tied 4-4 in set 5).

Islandman, do you use the watch.spectrum.net to log on? If you are on wifi in your house that has a sub, you get to watch the local channels live. On data, no can. The stream on bigwest.tv has always been blacked out for me, but the replays can watch. Hope this helps

I’m irritated that the Texas fans are so close to the server in their gym. There doesn’t seem to be enough (legal) space there for the server to have an unabated path of at least 3 meters.

Tough loss for Gauchos! Texas started to serve really tough in game 4 and 5 and got SB out of system. Up to that point the Gauchos were in system and they were killing the Longhorns. Congrats to Lindsey for a great career!

I’m so psyched for the game to start. I’m watching the pregame show, here just outside of DC past midnight, with a pot of beef stew on the stove to eat from floor the next few hours.

yikes, this is tough, didn’t expect to see UH struggling so much. Our passing is not too good. We. have some self inflicted wounds too. We gottah shake off the rust from not playing recently, get better connections, pass better, and lets start playing like we normally do!

#31 Yup, longer rallies happens usually in girls vs. guys but either or, Hawaii fans appreciate good volleyball so every time there is a long rally, win or loose, fans will always clap.
Side note I think J.R. starting that 3rd set switched it up. We finally settled down and passed good, and blocked well too. It was so frustrating watching the 1st & 2nd set b/c we struggled so hard.
Big Mahalo to Northern Colorado, specially, Taylor Muff, for bringing A+ game and could have gone 2-0 up…Good warn-up game for wahine, specially, to Jolie. …San Diego played very dominant game and has entirely different dynamics and distributed attack meanwhile both SD’s 6-5 OH and setter add lot of decisive points. Their fence seems bit taller and got to use few touches over fence smartly. Hopefully, wahine’s all current key players (well tuned-up) engaged in offence intermittently meanwhile Jolie is in starting line-up and stay in game for all very close games… Ranking #’s are absolutely immaterial and RAM & co. need to maneuver strategies smartly in timely manner to have a competitive game tonight…
