Plan A (full team) won against Washington convincingly, Plan B (w/o JR) survived two road trips, Plan C (w/o BVS) never expected & never prepared an extra OH/Blockers with standard height although roster has 6’1”Krug, 6’3”Tiffany, 6’0” Akana. New offence with out BVS is weak to face next week. Hope today switch back to traditional offence to improve passing and increase height in front row OH/Blocker position to give a test run to prepare for next week two big games. Irvine played a good game and Wahine played a poor game, but lower referee’s two erratic calls robbed 5th game.
#1 is right on with comments. I had same take on previous comment on last thread. Ross is too short and limited. Big backup OH need to be ready to go.
Is that the only way Baylor win is by sweeping the other team. I think they lost only 2 sets so far.
I can see USCB and Cal Poly with sweeps again today.
The biggest problem I have the interference call in Set 5 of last night’s game is the precedence these refs have created. By opening up the boundaries of play, what will stop either side from calling interference on the press table, spectators on the floor, or the cheerleaders in the corner? This may sound stupid but do we really need to put a colored boundary tape around the court indicating the “legal” playing area?
I accidentally erased the game on my DVR last night, anyone catch Robyn’s comments to Scott after the game?
GO BOWS!!! WE STILL BELIEVE IN YOU!!!
Wisconsin up 2-0 at Nebraska…another upset or another reverse sweep?
Wisconsin swept…
4. I think the issue was the camera man. If he hadn’t been there, I don’t think there’s an issue. From watching the replay today IMHO the ball hit the table before the UCI player could reach the ball. But, when talking to Chris McLachlin today, he brought up that the player might have slowed down because of the camera guy.
Ah Mow didn’t have much to say after the match to Scott Robbs. Basically the team needs to work harder. She had said all week that the team was giving away half a set.
IMHO they got away with it last week, they didn’t get away with it last night. The unforced errors came at critical times, including a service error when Hawaii was up 22-21 in Set 3 and, at 12-12 in Set 5, a free ball was double-handed set into the net.
5. scores updated in main box. Nebraska sweeps Wisconsin
7. Wisconsin swept Nebraska…
8. thank you. I was going off Richkern. he is incorrect
Wow, that was fast! UCSB beat Riverside in about an hour or less, while Cal Poly struggled against Davis, were 7 points behind in the second set before mounting a comeback. I really thought that they would lose their first set of the Big West Conference. Clearly UCSB is a far superior team. Cal Poly still has a set to play.
Cal Poly lost its first set of the conference. Davis is playing much better now and Cal Poly is faltering. I wonder if Cal Poly could lose in a reverse sweep just as Hawaii did last night. There is no sound and no live scoring. I couldn’t even find out about UCSB until you announced.
Commented last night about official , Ernie Ho. He is also communicating with someone on the headset, so depending on what input, observations, recommendations that person can make, that person also may have some accountability.
Does the BWC comment on officiating errors, like some other sports , e.g. nfl, nba, ncaa football, etc, .They will sometimes after the fact , admit to getting the call wrong. Doesn’t change the outcome, but at least they own up to it.
As for the cameraman interference, it does appear that the UCI player maybe saying , “move!” As she is approaching the ball. Good lip readers need to confirm.
I agree that a big part of the issue is that it is a cameraman there and to make matters worse it is UCI’s bench space.

do have a new thread for Wahine-Fullerton links
11. going 5 in SLO
12. Teams can file a complaint with the conference.
The replay was a judgement call so there’s nothing that will be done.
Not sure which call you’re discussing. or accountability
Who the down ref is talking to is Spectrum truck asking for various replay angles.
Beach wins at CSUN 3-1
Cal Poly dodged a bullet, defeating Davis in five sets. UH could beat Cal Poly next week, but not as likely to beat UCSB.
17. it’s why they play the game. We’ll see how it plays out.
Poly in 5, 15-10 in the fifth
Van Sickle not cleared to play against Fullerton
