A night after outlasting USC in four sets, the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team will go for a sweep of the Outrigger Volleyball Series tonight at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine (3-4) got breakout performances from freshmen Annika de Goede and Anna Kiraly, who combined for 19 kills with just four errors between them in Friday’s 25-17, 11-25, 25-21, 25-20 win over the Women of Troy (3-4). Tayli Ikenaga contributed a season-high 15 digs in the win and Brooke Van Sickle had 14 with nine kills in her first match under double-digits. Hawaii’s serve reception was steadier compared with last week’s trip to Utah and the Wahine served up six aces to USC’s two.

Did someone say to set Brooke four or was it five times in a row?

They did much better last night when the offense was spread around. So what is USC doing to have Hawaii change their offense? Tonight, most of the sets going to Brooke and it hasn’t been effective.
Her stats so far in 4th set: VAN SICKLE 12 7 52 .096
