I love the emphasis on the defensive backend—we need more speed and athleticism.
My way too early prediction:
Mekel Ealy gonna be playing on Sundays one day. I been tracking this guy ever since summer camps where he was killing it.
Recruiting looks good so far. But what we will have is the same old mediocre veteran Offensive staff. Does Stutzman have enough knowledge to be Off. Coor? They also need a quarterbacks coach. And put the other guy back to OL coaching duties. UH is going to have throw new wrinkles on O otherwise we will see the same D schemes against us. We’ll see what happens.
The whole class looks good. Let’s see in a couple of years how they develop. But very promising. Nice job on the staff on recruiting.
So UW signs a handful of Hawaii’s top recruits, and we get their state player of the year. No offer from the home team. https://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/high-school/article222883420.html

UW is a playoff caliber team lead by a world class coach….you think Hawaii is going to retain recruits that Chris Peterson and Ikaika Malloe (a top notch recruiter and Kamehameha alumni) put the press on? Your reaching there my friend. That’s just the way the game is played.
They either overlooked Victor or are just stacked with players with his skill set (likely the latter).
Neat. The headline says seven, then I refresh and it becomes eight. Another big body.
The overlooked become “Our Treasure”….. Welcome to Hawaii 2019 Class. The pieces are falling together nice. Speed, size, athleticism. power and “high motor” guys, awesome. So good now days.
Nice recruits! Welcome to Warriors all! Good job coaches!
Spring is looming… how many days til the season?
GO WARRIORS!!!
Hope we get some big blallahs on the Dline so we can stop da run and put pressure on da QB!
Interior DL- Taala so, D.Russell so, Hune sr, Vega jr, Se’ei sr, Laulu fr, Tavai so, Manuwai jr, Matthews (may be RB?) Hilborn (may be OT)
DE’s- Kahahawai-Welch fr, Ritner fr, Thomas jr, Padello sr, Williams sr, Hendrie jr, Mataafa jr, Iniguez fr

You missed my point, which is that every state loses quality players to other states. UDub has been the class of the PAC-12 in recent years, so it’s understandable that they get who they get.
Were are the Local recruits???
HAWAII NEEDS A RUNNING BACK LIKE ST. JUSTE.. GET A NEW RUNNING BACK!
Another LB and Crusader commits:

I don’t think Ealy is 180 pounds. He looks so much bigger. That’s gonna be a weapon for sure.
” MAKE HAWAII MO’ BETTAH AGAIN ”

When Holly changes his center of balance and his physical build (increased thickness of legs, torso, and backside) he will be just like St. Juste (St.Juste transformed his body Jr year after injury). Hopefully by summer. Going to be awesome whole RB group. 2020 more so.

my first impression of your youtube segement was the coaches were very ” dead pan ‘!
Not Nasti you hit it on the head. Hey, back in my day, 79 and 80 all-state team, Wayne Apuna and Leroy Lutu were the POY (so called cant miss players, and throw John Kamana in this group as well) and went to then, big-time programs, ASU and Udub. Less heralded players like Niko Noga and Jesse Sapolu stayed home—heck Jesse only made 3rd team all state—but last I looked, Wayne didn’t finish college, Leroy was decent but not a star-neither ever played on Sundays, and Jesse and Niko played over 15 years in the NFL….
