Warrior Beat: Scout Bowl
The Warriors saved the Scout Bowl for a rainy day.
In a 24-play, (mostly) full-contact scrimmage, quarterback Justin Uahinui had a breakout day. Uahinui completed 12 of 17 passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns.
Three freshmen — Adam Netane, Keliam Brunn and James Green — each caught a scoring pass.
One of the surprises was KK Padello, who was aligned as a running back. Wearing Fred Holly’s No. 21 jersey, Padello caught a shovel pass on the first play and rumbled 33 yards. Another surprise: Padello was granted an NCAA waiver that will allow him to play as a sixth-year senior in 2019.

Awesome news for KK, a true Warrior.
Things are looking up!
13-7 2nd quarter
UNLV leads San Diego State
Congratulations to KK! Well deserved.
IF unlv holds, they still retain last place. But put SDSU 7-3 record. Interestingly enough if Hawai’i wins both UNLV and SDSU, they may meet again in the Hawai’i Bowl. SDSU vs. Hawaii
14-13 over UNLV
SDSU Comes roaring back. 00:28 sec. to half time.
Watching the UNLV SDSU game. I’ll be honest, I don’t see UH beating UNLV. I don’t see a bowl game being a possibility either with being @SDSU after
I’ve been saying it for the past couple of weeks now. Hawaii won’t be able to stop UNLV. The only way I see Hawaii winning next week is if they score more touchdowns than UNLV does. 🤷🏽♂️
27-24 Final, UNLV win over San Diego State. 7-3 record San Diego State.
3-7 overall record UNLV.
I thought had chance against UNLV, but they beat SDSU Now what? Watching the game, UNLV’s D-line controlled the line and contained Aztec’s RB Washington.
Most everybody underestimated UNLV from early in the season, like the radio commentators for UH.
RE: #11
If UH tries to force the run, like the have been the past 5 games, we’re going to get shut out.
Just watched UNLV’s upset win over SDSU. UH will need to find a way to stop the run. #3 (Thomas) has breakaway speed…….
Great Morning All.
Scouted ’em last week.

UNLV controlled the line of scrimmage when playing defense, per the SDSU coach.
“They controlled the line of scrimmage on defense because we didn’t block them, couldn’t block them and we weren’t able to run the ball.”
On offense, they also had a 77 yd play that set up the 1st FG of the game. They also have other good running backs.
” UNLV quarterback Max Gilliam hit wide receiver Darren Woods Jr. on a short inside pass that Woods turned into a 77-yard gain.”
( The San Diego Union-Tribune)
Can you find Lexington when he gets the ball ? He is only 5-9 .

Hawaii finally has an extra week to prepare.
It will make a difference.
Is UNLV the sort of program that can string together a two-game road winning streak?
I’m playing the odds.
I say no.
So maybe 2 more wins for Rainbow Warrior football. The bye came at a good time. Lets go Bows!
Just watched Julia’s Tago take a mid-range jumper to cut the San Diego lead to two.
She can shoot over people; she needs to look for her shot.
The spell check turned Julissa to Julia’s.
I had written that Julissa Tago just took a mid-range jumper to cut the San Diego lead to two.
She can shoot with people in her face; she should always be looking for her shot.
