Va‘a Niumatalolo will serve as graduate assistant this football season, head coach Nick Rolovich confirmed today.

Niumatalolo worked as an offensive intern this past year.

In his new role, Niumatalolo will work with the offensive linemen.

Niumatalolo replaces Jake Thomas, who recently accepted the O-line coach’s job at Azusa Pacific.

Niumatalolo’s father is Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo, a former UH quarterback and coach.

Get the impression that UH fund raisers are too shy, timid, or lazy to approach wealthy boosters and local businesses. Instead , they feel comfortable have no a student employee call up manini kine fans like me at dinner time asking for donations. Shoots, I wish I had the $$$ to contribute for larger COA stipends or a nutrition station.

Big money people send their kids out of state, hence their support is the those schools.
Have to be like the Dems, a little from everybody else will get the job done.

Hopefully the O-line will be great next year with all the returnees. I really hope the run game will step up.
