Ursua, Tavai impress scouts at pro day
Former Warriors John Ursua and Jahlani Tavai were impressive during today’s UH pro day on the UCLA campus.
Despite still being bothered by hamstring ailment, Ursua, a receiver, was credited with running 40 yards in 4.58 seconds. He had a 10-foot broad jump, and completed the short shuttle in 6.78 seconds.
Tavai, a linebacker, did not participate in the measurement events because of the short preparation time following last year’s shoulder surgery. But Tavai did well in field drills, according to observers, and he wowed officials in interviews. Several teams expressed strong interest in Tavai. Tavai will hold personal workouts next month.
Representatives from all 32 NFL teams attended the event.

Good luck to our WARRIORS !!!
Hope you get offered a good contract.
Woot woot, I’m all in—dollars to doughnuts, they will both be playing on Sundays!
Best of luck to Jahlani and John! “No scared em. Go get em!”
I see that Donna Mercado Kim has resurfaced and come out swinging regarding making some $30 million in cuts to UH. Laid low after people found out that she threatened the former UH president with critical hearings in 2013, accusing UH of botching up his law school application. He never applied. Fast forward, today and he’s a grad of the William Richardson Law School and now practicing here. Just what is DMK unhappy about now? Making “big body” again makes her feel good about herself, I guess.
Sorry for the typo. Meant to say regarding DMK: “…….accusing UH of botching up her son’s law school application.
Hawaii politicians have a very adversarial attitude towards UH. If waste exists, I have no problem with cutting it. On the other hand, instead of a “What do you need to do a better job there?” legislators take a, “Why do you need this or that?” I have heard rumblings that there people there not happy that UH’s football coach is the highest paid public employee in the State. Very much out of touch with the landscape of college athletics.
Sorry for the rant. Off my soapbox.

I thought I was banned a couple of days ago. What did I do wrong? I thought. Mention Belmont too many times? Belmont made the case for UC-Greensboro and Lipscomb today. And Furman. Big win for having a level playing field today. The ’89-’90 men’s basketball team was deserving of an at-large bid. George Mason was a controversial at-large pick in 2007 when they made the Final Four.
Nobody’s banned.
OK, we savage’d someone.
But still, we must use our powers responsibly. Everybody else is welcome to play

Mr. Tsai, what’s the story on a new defensive coach?
That was awesome.
Ursua is a ball player. He needed the numbers to get a chance but once he gets a chance he’ll stick with a team. He’s a baller!
Where did moussa go?

The NFL has a history of a lot of “undersized”, whatever that means, receivers that have excelled. John will turn heads and bb’s around.
