The Paper Chase
Two former Warriors who played professional football — Kealoha Pilares and John Estes — proved there is no time limit on education.
On Saturday afternoon, Pilares earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Recreation Science (KRS) and Estes received a master’s in public administration.
Pilares intends to pursue a career in prehab training, a method of building strength and stability to increase agility and decrease injury risks.
Estes, who was a UH graduate assistant the past two seasons, is a volunteer coach at Kamehameha Schools. He also is considering pursuing a doctorate’s degree.
