Spring break
It’s UH’s spring break, and while some rest and some travel, defensive lineman Zeno Choi and some buddies went hunting on the Big Island. They stayed with Mike Andrade, a former UH d-lineman.

Go Warriors!
GO WARRIORS !!!
Zeno, my man!!!
As a fan, do you believe? Is seeing the believing truth? Optimists are going to be optimistic. Doubters are going to doubt. Haters are going to hate. One thing for sure is that the program has an upgraded coaching staff and a depleted roster. Everyone, from top to bottom knows what needs to be done as a team and individually. Spring is the time to set up the basics and evaluate the situation. Everyone must learn and take in as much as they can leading up to fall camp. In the end, the cream will rise to the top and the strategies will emerge.
For the fans of positivism, hope springs eternal. For the fans of negativism, doom looms. Each has its own definition and blend of fact and faith. Each with its own reality of emotional conflict. But whatever the case may be, the collective message from the fans should be clear. If the fans expect the Warriors to believe and trust the process, then the fans should believe in the Warriors. A fandom of belief is the wave that stirs the crowd. To believe or not to believe: there is no question.
our Amherst trip was the 1st time we were able to “greet” players as they exited the stadium and many, if not most, thanked us for making the long journey to watch and cheer them
we went to cheer them, win or lose, and tours to other attractions were “extra toppings”
we usually go to games where we have never been and will probably never go again — we hope we are healthy enough to continue going on trips, but the next 3-4 years are places we have been — hooray, save my kala!!!
Haka
I thought you were gonna start singing this:

Ha! Ka! Well…..it may have been playing in my head. Too funny.
Thanks haka – good post!
Bad day to be a boar! Good day to be Zeno!
Track pig. Chase dogs. Shoot pig. Kill pig. Gut Pig. Carry Pig.
THAT’S how you do spring training.
Live Aloha!!! Play Warrior!!!
Ah, brings back memories of the History Channel’s “American Jungle.” This must be the Andrade clan and not the Correa clan.
Ganot mentioned as a possible candidate for the San Diego vacancy. Do you think he would take it ?
zeno no can catch kalua pig.you already know cuz.
Shoot or Bow and Arrow ?
10.
Parallel move, right.
Toreros: 4 NCAA tournament appearances(1984, 1987, 2003, 2008)
Rainbows: 5 NCAA tournament appearances(1972, 1993, 2001, 2002, 2016)
Does Coach Ganot want to compete against his mentor?
Can San Diego get past Gonzaga, St. Mary’s, and, let’s see, who would be the third most significant WCC team…BYU, I guess.
I really hope he stays.
I think he’s a high character guy.
I will always take that over winning at all costs.
The RPI is stupid.
How does Hawaii fall sixty-one places after losing to a team who came in with a RPI of 70?
Now the Rainbows are at 95, one slot above 5-17 Rhode Island.
Some 400-pound hacker who sits on his bed all day must have broken into the system.
UH swept Illinois St, but the Redbirds have an RPI of 51. Seton Hall has an RPI of 45 now.
Is that UC San Diego or University of San Diego.
UC San Diego is in beautiful La Jolla.
USD has a campus with really intriguing architecture.
But c’mon, those places won’t have a Chawan Cut in the stands.
USD Toreros in the West Coast conference. A torero is a bullfighter, i guess.
UCSD Tritons. A triton is a mollusk ?
I would doubt Coach Ganot would take the job right now. Think his love for the islands and he wanting to leave his mark on this program will convince him to stay till he takes his players to a conference title and NCAA bid.
Way easier to get into the tournament here than WCC.
Gonzaga and some others might move to the MWC or some other league.

Eran Ganot downplays the HoopDirt report and tells the Star-Advertiser he’s happy where he is. Story in tomorrow’s print edition.
chawan cut, ha ha ho
19.
When Jovonovich chose Loyola-Marymount, I thought: At least pick a team with a reasonable shot at getting to the tournament. That’s why you’re leaving.
Why not transfer to a team in a conference that’s more wide open like the WAC or the Big Sky, if you’re putting restrictions on your location?
The WCC is Gonzaga and St. Mary’s.
Hawaii is 47 places behind a team they swept.
I would like to see DiMiero get one more chance in the rotation.
In a perfect world, Ashworth is healthy, which would free Cade Smith to be the number two starter without reservation.
1. Jackson Rees
2. Dominic DiMiero
3. Neil Uskali
Your first guy out of the pen when you start Rees is Kyle Hatton.
Your first guy out of the pen when you start DiMiero is Cade Smith.
What I like about Hawaii’s bullpen is that the guy you think is the last option, Matt Richardson, has an ERA of zero.
Hawaii will be unbeatable if the pitching staff gets to the eight with a lead.
Yelland is your set-up guy.
Thomas is your closer.
Done deal.
When Dylan Thomas entered the game last night, I felt no anxiety. I thought: He got this.
Thomas is good enough to go in the first five rounds, right?
Zeno Choi is a great story! Hope his last year is his best-talk about a true undaunted Warrior. Hope Coach Longo can draw out some hidden talent so he can truly shine!!!! GoWarriors-
Go vegan lol
