This year, UH-Manoa had to stop raising tuition in order to draw more students.
About time they applied that same thinking to the football games: They can get more fans at $15 a head, and make more money. Better to do it ASAP, because the culture is becoming one of NOT going to a football game on Saturday. It’s difficult to change a culture like that.
5 1/2 seems fair. I’m guessing 6-7. If the UofHawaii defense can stop the run or UofHawaii offense can get physical and control the ball, control the line of scrimmage, and keep the other team’s offense off the field, then, 7-6.
The key looking ahead into this football season is how much of a burden does Scheyenne Sanitoa’s death carry onto the football team (Both from the offense’s point of view and for the guys on defense). Having lost a defender like him is not something that can be taken for granted. What I’m wanting to see is the fire in their belly for the guys on defense. Do it not only for themselves, but do it for Sanitoa. It’s a matter of dealing with adversity and putting it all out there, on the field and play with inspiration. I’m sure Sanitoa would want the same thing, having this program go back-to-back bowl games. And I’m sure everybody would love to see that happen as well. Last time that did occur was during the 2007-08 seasons. 10 years does seem like a long time, but this could be the time that we could see a breakthrough moment and finally get us back on track to bowl game success.
Over.
8-9 Ws through reg season.
I see us at another 7 or 8 wins…Why is Utah St. not mentioned? They’ve played well recently
