A mile-high with ‘Bows, CSU, Jahmai, LeBron
It’s not too cold here in Fort Collins, Colo., but the sun goes down early and it will definitely be chilly for tomorrow’s 5 p.m. kickoff when Hawaii plays Colorado State. No snow expected in the area until next week.
The Rams (8-1) are one of the best teams in the country and few people know about them. They are going to be a very tough challenge for UH (2-7).
The Rainbow Warriors were slated to arrive here today and have a short walk-through.
In today’s column, Jahmai Webster talks about CSU and coach Jim McElwain. Jahmai recently started a sportscasting job in Denver after several years at KITV in Honolulu. And today our old friend is a little older, as it happens to be his birthday … we will catch up with Jahmai at the LeBron, I mean, Nuggets game.
Also, I’ve got a copy of Dave Shoji’s book. I’m already familiar with the content, but will let you know how the finished product is with a review after I get a chance to go over it on the plane home Sunday.
I would be really happy if CSU won 35-21. That would at least be a game where Hawaii is not embarrassed on national TV to a good team. AP has CSU at #26 with 67 votes. Is it votes or points?
Game Keys:
Eliminate the penalties
Take care the football. (zero turnovers)
Get physical. Pound the middle and rotate fresh RBs.
Keep CSU offense off the field. Keep the clock running.
Finish strong.
That’s sounds like a good game plan. If UH can limit turnovers, play physical, keep the chains moving and score TD’s and keep CSU’s offense from getting on the field, then they have a chance to win. And, UH’s db’s don’t give up the big plays.
If (insert any team here) can limit turnovers, play physical, keep the chains moving an score TDs, and keep (insert opposing team here)’s offense from getting on the field, then they have a chance to win.
There went the game plan. UH 5 CSU 14 1QTR.
