VIDEO: Old rivals Hawaii and BYU primed for SoFi Hawaii Bowl
Old rivals meet on the field of battle on Tuesday afternoon at Aloha Stadium.
Hawaii and BYU met first as respected adversaries at the SoFi Hawaii Bowl press conference on a picturesque Monday morning at the lawn of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
Head coaches Nick Rolovich and Kalani Sitake and players Kendall Hune and Dayton Furuta for UH, and Micah Simon and Dayan Ghanwoloku for BYU spoke on the dais.
Rolovich also addressed the epic 2001 meeting between the teams (still UH’s last win in the series) that helped launch the Hawaii Bowl.

And Furuta talked about working his way back from an injury that knocked him out in the season-opening win against Arizona.
