The University of Hawaii played host to the visiting Los Angeles Rams for a practice session on Friday afternoon.

It was the only practice in the islands for the Rams before they face the Dallas Cowboys in a sold-out NFL preseason game at Aloha Stadium on Saturday.

Head coach Sean McVay and backup quarterback Blake Bortles (who will likely be the starter Saturday with Jared Goff back on the mainland) spoke to the media after the roughly 45-minute session.

McVay was asked his thoughts about UH’s facilities and he was gracious with his response.

A healthy amount of UH players and coaches took in the practice, led by coach Nick Rolovich.

If you’re wondering, the actual practice drills and team sessions were off limits for the media to photograph or shoot video of (although media was allowed to remain).

Plenty of national and L.A. media was in attendance, not to mention dozens of Rams staffers. In addition, a “Magnum P.I.” episode was also being shot on location. Multiple tents were set up around the field. So, it was quite the bustling scene.
